That snopes article makes it sound like a myth that eagles capture fairly large animals, of a similar weight to a toddler. This isn't true, it is routine for eagles to catch large prey heavier than themselves.

It is also the case that infant skulls of proto-humans in Africa have been found with injuries which match the talon layout of contemporaneous eagles.
