  • Ha! i deserved that tbh.

  • "you must spread...etc...etc...."

  • But, don't go around asking why there are so few female members when you can have two full pages of utter shite which includes people defending there point of view that if people are offended it's there fault.

    What does that even mean?!

  • Don't you ever learn EEI. Stop posting tits. Think of the children

  • Yes, I'm sexist, but I'm also irresistible handsome, so it balances itself out.

  • sorry, I have an internet limit set on my computer and I was trying to be long winded on my phone...while I wasn't wearing my glasses. God I am SO rock and roll.

The gist is, you just aint being funny, and if you are spending your time telling people that are offended that it is their fault that they have normal human feelings, then you may want to step back and take a look at your OP.

The Onion had a meeting where two headlines were pitched, one went into the paper, the other literally got jeers.
The one that didn't make it was "Nation's girlfriends call for more quality time"

The one that did was "Local girlfriend always wants to do stuff"

Why was the first one stupid and the second one funny? Because the first one played out a tired stereo type and the second one talked about what a sort of lowly loser the guy is for being irked by his girlfriend's desire to do things. It's just more like, she's always wanting to go do stuff, and be around people. She always wants to leave the house.

And that joke seemed more original and different. Whereas, nation girlfriends just seemed like a joke about nagging girlfriends.
And the problem with a joke about nagging girlfriends isn't the political correctness of it, but simply it's a really tired joke.

  • The first one was more funny though, right?
    [trollface]

  • Jesus. All this meta-cleavage chat is making the 'Upgrading to Skinny Tires' thread look like a veritable goldmine of learned discussion and good sense.

It was a shit meme. People wondered what the fuck it was on about.

It also featured a rather prominent pair of mammaries. They were remarked upon.

I'm quite sure most girls looking at that meme and trying to figure out what the fuck it was about would pass comment too, unless to be totally pc and wholesome they have to be the elephants in the room so to speak...

Anyway, i digress-whether 'we' were being funny or not (I didn't really think anyone was trying to be tbh, the meme was shit, etc etc.) I don't think anyone was being particularly boorish either. The 2 pages of analysis and moaning that's followed is hardly entertaining either...

    le sigh.

  • I thought I had that covered under "true ones will be either a source of pride or shame", but your amendment certainly clarifies it.

There probably is third class of attempted insult - the use of derogatory terms about perceived defects in the target of the insult which are true but neither shameful nor a matter of pride. Taking a trivial example, somebody might call me "four-eyes". In the commonly accepted meaning of the term, this is a truth (I do wear spectacles), but I'm not ashamed of being myopic (I'd wear contacts if I wanted to hide it, or buy LASIK to fix it) but I'm also not proud of it. Nonetheless, it's hard to find it offensive. I'm short-sighted, I wear goggles, so fucking what? Of course, with the less common and more disabling afflictions, it takes rather more strength of character to shrug off such comments, but I know from people I've met that it can be done. For my mother's former pupil, now friend, who was born with Cerebral Palsy, which do you think was quicker and easier; to re-educate every prick who might ever call her a spastic, or to learn to say "Yes, and so fucking what?"

    Fuck yeah.

If I even had the slightest fucking clue as to how to rep someone, it would be you my man.

Yeah, ok, there are ways you can man up and live with anything that life decides to call you.
But, fuck it, I want to live in a great fucking world where we are all just nice to each other and occationally try and make other people's lives a bit less shit.

So, I fucking bitch about people being a bit stupid and a bit sexist in a medium where they can fucking avoid it, hoping that it changes the way the whole god damned world thinks.

    so fucking sue me.

  • so fucking sue me.

    Don't worry, we won't. We're not American.

  • I just reailzed that might not be as common a saying on this side of the atlantic.

  • i use it...
