The same thing happened at a bbq I was at. A 5yo boy was mounted by a massive rottweiler. The child was so distraught, but everyone was struggling not to wet themselves.

i heard you, I remember at school, there were quite a handful of people whom show excellent talent in certain field, I can see some of them becoming geologist, marine biologist, historian, politican, even doctors.
Now all those people whom have so much promises end up settling down the moment they left school, got married and have children, usually the latter come first (out of choice).
Very depressing to see how most of them, ultimately their choice of lives, end up going down the same old choices that everyone make in life.
