not that anyone on here would ever even consider not having a telly licence, right?

It doesn't make a difference what you tell them. They still send you nasty threatening letters after you've told them repeatedly that you have nothing to watch TV on - apart from a PC which doesn't count

A PC counts if you watch streams as they are broadcast, but not if you watch TVOD after the fact. Strange but true.

Yes, but they don't list a PC with internet as equipment to watch TV on. Unless they've changed it since I last bothered to read their letters.
They do have a tickbox on the iPlayer saying "I do have a TV licence" when you first attemtp to watch stiff live there

iplayer is on Demand. It dosn't count. It is purely about equipment that is *used to watch live *broadcasts.
Yes but it's very easy to click on a program playing live and actually watching it. They don't disable the links to the programs currently being streamed.
Like so -
I'm still on the iplayer but I'm watching a live streamed program. Nothing to stop me.

It's not about equipment, the TV license is for watching live broadcast. Many people don't realise that. Owning a television or PC with broadband isn't an offence.
