I hate people who say that. In your opinion it might not be funny, in mine it might not be, but that doesn't mean someone else can't find it funny.

So you hate me for pointing out that 6 million jewish people (not to mention communist, homosexuals and prostitutes etc) being ethnically cleansed is not funny. How could that ever be funny?

Jewish jokes are funny and as someone above has said they have a pretty self-depricating sense of humour anyway, I just think a line has to be drawn somewhere. Your opinion is irrelevant in this instance, you can hate me all you like.

heres a thought: if you think something might offend someone, rather dont post it. or just stick it in as a link with the relevant warnings (nsfw etc). this forum has been accused of becoming a boys locker room and this thread, whilst often hilarious, is fast becoming the gold standard for proof of those allegations. or don't.

I want to laugh at everything on here, it's my favourite thread ever, but it's very hard to laugh at holocaust stuff given that my family was actually in it.

The fact that my own family members died actually makes it pretty hard for me to understand how others can find it funny. I know that they do, I just can't believe they allow themselves to by reproducing the jokes until people think it's OK.

And that airshow thing was awful.

i have probably posted things that are off-colour and i hold my hand up. however the subsequent flamings have made me think twice when putting up something that might piss on someones batteries. holocaust jokes are not remotely cool - surely we can all see that?

Obviously there are many things which are of poor taste and not very funny. There's no excuse for their existence then. The only problem is, that our tastes vary and are individual, so it's not easy to judge the merits of those "jokes".

Humour is a necessary part of a healing process during and after atrocities, wars, bad times etc. Often laughing things off makes them go away or easies our pain. If you know what I'm talking about.

I'm of the school of thought that nothing is inherently offensive. That's not to say that there aren't social limits that we shouldn't consider before posting though.

I don't laugh from the actual historical fact of Holocaust, rather from the idiotic way all those flash games on Facebook are developed. You know, Mafia Wars, City something, Farmville, Zombie Farm now. What else? Feed the Kenians?
