Yeah, if smoking is supposed to be so injurious to health, how come it cures pork?

So you had no concerns with the recent lfgss members crack smoking stories?
-
• #100781
I'm not sure I've got concerns on any of this.
I was just sharing that irl I silently judge >30s who smoke cigarettes. As I have a weird carve out where I can relate to it as a minor childhood act of rebellion, but think as an adult you need to get a grip of your addiction. Which I realise downplays even my own experience of addiction (taking ~10yrs to quit).
But no, I didn't judge anyone for trying crack. But it's not a drug I've really had any direct or indirect experience of, other than occasionally seeing MCs or people at squat parties BITD smoking it. If I did I might judge a bit more 🤷

Take it I’m alone in being less judgmental of tobacco/cigarette smokers than other types?

Speaking as someone trying to ditch the fags and struggling at the moment(I’m 38) I’m feeling pretty damn judged right now…

Your a homophone

• #100788
How do you feel having to write homophone for the joke when you know the correct word is homonym?

• #100789
Oh great, and now I’ve been pulled in to a wordplay pun-off? Thanks Obama.

Some say a homonym is by definition also both a homophone and a homograph. I go where the lolz take me without letting rigorous grammar get in the way.

Except for Noel Fielding.

Yeah, I don't know why somebody shopped Siouxsie into that 9 to 5 promo shot, but it was the resemblance to Fielding which made me create the caption. What's more surprising is how easy it is to think of Fonda as a precursor to Ayoade.

As someone who lost their mum to lung cancer, even though she has stopped smoking 20 years before her death, I'm flabbergasted at the fact that tobacco companies still exist. They new for years that their products caused cancer and actively covered it up. The people that ran them should all have been jailed.

Good point. Pretty much just tobacco.
Obviously there are still exceptions.
