Maybe let the NOLO folks get some games in before all the North Easties descend there too - this idea was born out of a desire for a newbie polo session!

Do it Fridays, it's the one day of the week left, who needs to go drinking anyway ;)
Seriously though, there is so much on now it has to clash with something, you can't avoid that.

it's not bad that clash with another polo day, there are lot of people playing and we need to star playing in two places the same day, it will work, dont worry

Some good points made re. timing. My preference would be for a Tuesday 6-sundown polo followed by north drinks. Since the days are getting shorter, we would still get up to drinks at a reasonable hour. From a selfish perspective, I'd prefer to have it on the same night as a more established night so that I am able to play a lot and learn quickly.
But this is all academic until I find a court and figure out how much use we can get from it. Then we can expand to other nights. More venues = more polo = better for everyone, right?

definitely

• #43
I agree, Tuesday is great, do it.
-
• #44
Pics tomorrow. Geared bikes are fine, though you might have a problem with drops - not really sure.
-
• #45
Yeah what I was thinking, depends if I can control it with the drops?
-
• #46
Your weight will be super far forward to enable you to use the brake. Probably worth swapping out for some risers once you're at the court.
-
• #47
But bear in mind that I don't really know what I'm talking about - just going on what I've observed.
-
• #48
Well Shincar said the same thing for drops, so yeah probably worth looking for risers I guess, or I'll have to wait until I get the fixed one up and running as using moustache bars on them.
-
• #49
If you have cross top brakes then it should be fine (just a little restricting for tight turns/getting your knees tangled up), if they are hood/drop brakes I predict some problems.

from experience, dump the drops as quickly as possible, you'll have far more fun playing without them :)
Damn you all.
I was looking forward to playing North but West's is Mondays.
