If someone is fat and they don't care, that's fine. But it's not sexy.
If someone is fat and doesn't like it, they know what to do. It's really quite simple. Hint: the answer is not carbo-loading when you feel a bit down.

15 pages in and I'm still not sure how Granville feels about B.Ditt....maybe he'd care to re-iterate?

what about the anti-thin society. in a world of growing obesity being a racing snake is subject to it's own prejudices from 'normal' and 'large' people.
however it is easy to deal with as i couln't give a toss.
When they say "you should eat more" and i reply "i do, i probably eat more than you and never put an ounce on" they usually shut up after that.+a fvcking lot
Sure, to me (as one or two of you may realize), skinny is a pitiful condition, whereas Caribbean female shotputters, are the epitome of health.

And for some reason, though Lily Cole has clearly been half-starved by hate-filled parents, her red hair makes up somewhat for her ribs almost being an exo-skeleton.Me, her, and a tub of something greasy. Yes indeed. I guess I must be the weird one eh?
I pity you, because in spite of the supposed wisdom of your years, you seem to think it acceptable to perpetuate the same body-image bullsh1t that has clearly scarred your life.
oh, and if image is the issue, and the spirit within that counts, why start a thread with a picture?.

YOU pity ME? Really? You do? You mean you really do? Know what wintermute, that mute title of yours is wasted, if you're going to pipe up, and only come out with caca de toro. As for a clearly scarred life, I'd bet my life, or yours, that your life is far more scarred than many on this forum. I'm cocky and cocksure, and do you know where that come from? No, its not a reverse transference, I actually grew up with the happiest of childhoods, where I am still friends with people who I knew in my neighbourhood in Grenada, when I was 3 years old. My Blackberry has over 650 and contacts, only a handful are business contacts. The rest are friends and family.
I only decided to spell this out, so that others may look at you, as I look at you. Deeply misguided, to say the least. If you think a fat person can't be happy, and they must be damaged, then you give buffoonery a bad name. I don't think anyone who has met me in person from this forum would say that I appeared to be a damaged person.
Not poor me mate. Poor you. I think you have exposed yourself to near universal pity on this forum, because you have thought that you quick read of page 23 from a Beginning Psychology book, made you capable of saying that someone would BE damaged because they are fat.
Sadly, you didn't get any of it. Others here know that I find Queen Latifah very sexy (off base, I know), and other big women. Its because I think big curves, and black shapes are sexy. My present lady friend is a huge departure from the normal bigger woman I have gone for, as she is only 48kilos. But, even though curves make my eyes sing, its the person inside that brings me joy.
Joy. Now there's a word. Go look it up. And, while you're at it, think carefully about if you wish to perform psycotherapy on a patient that you have never met, but formed an opinion about, in a cycling forum. Pity....you say. Yes, I do. How sad you have made yourself look.
I don't mind Scott calling me fat, and that is plain, because its funny. I don't mind Wayne pulling me back into line, because there is mutual respect there. But you. I don't know you. But in your case, I'd suggest another pasttime other than internet clinical psychological diagnoses.
I do hope you enjoy the rest of your night.
Lil, sorry I might have been mean there. I was baited.

Because photos of Beth Ditto, held up as someone sexy, on a forum full skinny people, in tight tight jeans, guaranteed responses. Don't you think there have been responses to this thread? I think there've been a few.

I can't rep you again Oliver. Not so soon. ;)

Queen Latifah, now that's one sexy woman, much better example than Beth Ditto.

I must say GA2G... while I find your point somewhat allusive, I really enjoy the way in which you write on here. Very much more distinctive than many.

It has certainly been quite an interesting thread to read actually ... there has been quite a few different remarks from various viewpoints. On of the most interesting on here in a while.
