i want to look cooler than cool than cool.
That's going to take a lot more than £350 and a carbon wheel I'm afraid.

you can kiss my ass old man.
-
• #29
I'd probably put my back out having to stoop so low.
-
• #30
i didn't think you had a back?
(as in it got replced by a steam pulley system in the 19th century.... Fred Dibnah style)

Not sure I'm feeling the HED, opinions please?
It's been great in terms of side winds but I am being something of a tart aesthetically.
-
• #32
I think you should bin it or give it to me. It would look much better on mine.
-
• #33
don't see how it will fit with the penguin books colour scheme. Maybe if you went for all black stealth bike
-
• #34
paint frame in black, then change rear rim to something deeper and black, tape, saddle and cranks to black and it will be AMAZING
-
• #35
Rik you have hit the nail on the head- I've steadily been changing parts in the opposite way to that which you suggest.
The only things on the bike which were there when I bought it are the bars and stem.
i.e. I have changed the black rear wheel/spokes/hub to silver, the carbon cranks to silver...
I think I'll get a CXP30 for the front and also flog the seat post and get an alloy one.

it looks good, but the back wheel looks stupid with such a nice front wheel
also what are brakes like on HED's? I spose if you use carbon brake pads etc. they r ok? -
• #37
I actually prefer the rear wheel to the front currently- rear is a Dura-Ace High Flange to NOS CXP30 with Sapim double butted spokes.
If you look closely you will see that the HED has an alloy braking surface- normal brake pads.

oh cool
yeah, still though its not carbon :)
but yh the bike would look better if the frame was black
even though i do like the fuji colour scheme -

It would look and perform far better on this..
I'll give you £20 for it.
-
• #40
As Mattty alluded to it's not staying these colours for long- will be orange and off-white soon.
Hippy- £20 is a little low, £250 and you have a deal.
-
• #41
£25 it is then.
-
• #42
To be fair you have to bargain with Flickwg- I have the wheel to evaluate it.
On his behalf (and because it is what I was going to pay) I say £250.
Consider that to be a bargain as it cost me £4.70 to go and get it, so I could give it to someone centrally if they had paid Flickwg.

• #43
Fuck it, I might stick it on the road bike just to see what it looks like.
-
• #44
I'm sure it would be wonderful to shave 30 seconds from my commute but I'm not paying that much to do it. My TT frame is still in the box :( I've not even thought about building that up. Meh^1000

• #46
Just looks wrong not on a TT bike.
-
• #47
That's the conclusion that I had arrived at.
Annoying- I have seen them look awesome on some bikes, just not mine it would seem.
-
• #48
Also Hippy you have a TT bike- you wan'?
-
• #49
That P-X up there is mine.
-
• #50
I know- it's on your bed spread in the photo.
What I meant was "you have a TT frame, therefore would you like this wheel?"
Anyone know if these wheels can be converted to track nuts?
I seem to recall reading that they can be, but that might have been Corima...
