As an example, in the first round vote we vote on whether games are timed or not. If we decide to time them, then we vote on what the time limits are in the second round vote, and so on.

Can someone sticky this?
oh and good job Vidal.

sticked, and voted on. cheers drV

For the sake of ease, can we make these votes decided by a simple plurality? This means that whichever option gets the most vote is the winner.
There are other options such as majority voting, which requires that an option gets over 50% to count, and there is a vote-off if nothing gets 50% in the first round. But this would get far too complicated, I think.
Let's run with plurality voting unless anyone objects.

And in case of a tie, we will have a vote-off of the two tying positions, again assuming no objections to this.

Correct, Max. You got an A in civics or whatever?

Also people should encourage everyone not on the forum to sign-up and have their say.

The date the league starts is the only poll I don't think should go to the majority. If 40% of votes go to date A but 60% are split between dates C & D then surely the start date should be later rather than sooner?

i think the admin will not let people who arent polo players join the lpc

You know what I mean, some of the polo regulars are apparently not signed up here.

yeah but quite a few people who've signed up for the up coming league aren't members of the lpc, I think a couple (at least of people who've expressed an interest in the league) may not actually be on this forum!

Well, then, they should get with the times! Everybody knows the future is with the interwebs!

It's sad but true. As much as I don't like the London polo scene being fgss-centric, it is and it does make things easier.
How many fewer people would be involved if it was only word of mouth?
-
• #19
good point moog.
nice work vidal, all voted for.
-
• #20
Just I heard last time there were polls, that there was some perceived lack of representation of the whole scene as not everybody was signed up here.
But this is the venue where things are being decided by community vote and they need to be encouraged to get with that.

Xtreme Street** Bicycle Hammer Ball**
London** League II (2009-2010)**
We now begin our survey of players to establish rules and regulations.
There will be three series of polls. Each will last 48 hours. There will be 11 polls in the first series. Then there will be a few more in a second series. There may be a third series, depending on how the votes go. All will be complete in 6 days (possibly 4 days).
(If you already voted on the first poll – timed games or not – please check again. There was an error and the poll was restarted after the first five votes were cast. Sorry.)
