  • This is what Will's referring to;

    http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/petacchi-under-investigation-in-italy

Alessandro Petacchi (Lampre-Farnese Vini) has been issued with formal notification that he is under investigation as part of a widespread inquiry into doping practices being carried out in Italy by Padova-based prosecutor Benedetto Roberti.

Blimey--doping practices being carried out by a prosecutor. Only in Italy.

  • Thor is making a break from the peloton up an HC? With another HC before the sprint points. He must be feeling really good today.

  • its a safe bet cav or petacchi never will! he wants that green and somewhat deserves it.

  • I agree, but fuck me - early break. I'm thinking that must say something about the pace Schleck and Contador are setting.

  • off topic, but do you have a brake and lever i can borrow for thu hillclimb?

  • Should do. BMX, V, or aero?

  • anything really, need to go on front old style, so no bigger rear hole (although could bodge easily), lever anything that can quickly affix to 25.4 bars or even frame. awesome :)

  • which bike are you using?

I'm not sure if I have a bolt-style brake - may one have allen key style, but I'll take a look.

  • holdsworth. doesn't matter i can just bodge a nut inside and not run right through. will speak later, off for a meeting.

  • Wish the ITV4 coverage started earlier, although ITV4 vs dodgy eurosport stream isn't that far apart.

Oh for BBC to run coverage, iplayer rules.

  • Odds on fix being in for an LA win? $£€

Aye, my VLC stream has gone down right when they were on the Aubisque. ITV coverage doesn't start for anyone 30 minutes...

  • The RTL stream is free, stable, and clear, and only interrupted occasionally by charming adverts for small Luxembourgeois companies. The commentary is in Lëtzebuergesch, which I'm enjoying a lot, as a lot of it is very intelligible if you know German and French.

  • Cheers for that Oliver, this descent looks amazing.

  • btw, how did the sprints go?

  • Haven't got to them yet.

  • also, Boasson Hagen wasn't really meant to be part of the fight for the jerseys was he? I thought they initially took him on as a support guy?

  • well, who knows. i think they wanted EBH to go for stage wins, as he did pretty well last year when he was with Colombia. there was talk of him being the next Merckx, but all that seems a long time ago now.

  • To be fair to him, he has had an achilles injury. He's not the next Merckx but he's a raw talent whom, under the correct management, could win a lot of high quality races.

  • terrible socks on Armstrong.

  • Blimey, thought Lance and his terrible socks were going to do it there...

  • Dov won.
