Someone wanna explain what the guy on the right has been up to?

At the road side of every tour for the last 15 years (i.e back as long as I can remember, and quite possibly longer). Possibly more famous than a lot (most?) of the riders.

I think I've seen him at North Drinks.

Maybe he's with the other guys, and they said "lets all wear swimming trunks", and he only had speedo's, and that is why he's looking miffed?

I haven't seen el-diablo this year on the tv yet

I haven't seen el-diablo this year on the tv yet

I've seen a couple of fleeting glimpses in the highlights but the camera has just panned over him like he is any of the 1000's of other spectators. I heard some talk about this being because of the sponsorship issues - he's currently sporting LUK badges on his outfit.

On a similar note, have you seen the guy holding up some motor homes advertising placard at various finishes. I've spotted him on the tour and the Giro too.
