The one you made with your own two hands???
Oh yes. It's being painted and he's on holiday for a week so should be ready soon.
I heard you were waiting for a couple of frames James.
The other one isn't due for 6 weeks or so.

Had a look at some forecasts. Weather looks good.

If we're riding to somewhere, and then training it back, I think Adrienne and I need to take separate bikes (no tandem!) as they can be a pain to get on trains (apparently).
-
• #211
I am not too bothered, just want to go for a ride. If you want to go on the tandem we can ride back as well or we can go somewhere else/shorten the ride.
-
• #212
still possible, i'll let you know.
-
• #213
Nhatt said she may be up for this as well.
-
• #214
Definitly in.

My flu isn't great...

Anyone made any real plans?
If not, I have a route that could work.
Starts in Leytonstone, rides to St albans, train back or try and sort out a more direct route back...it's about 35-40 miles. -
• #217
I didn't plan Oxford because of tandem limitations but that sounds good, I heard mark tried to shoulder you with responsibility.
Should we meet at Tea, 9:30/10?
-
• #218
After you tried to shoulder me, eh Emmet? ;)
This is fine - St Albans sounds good.
930ish at a cafe in East London, leave around 10?
Who's in? I have a network rail card that's good for up to 4 people on a cheap ticket back.

Not too sure what time Dalston Lane cafe opens...but it's a good un for cawfee. It's at the top end of Dalston Lane.

Ah, and that would mean that I wouldn't get too lost on my way to Leytonstone. The last few times I've tried to get there from the south east I've ended up in docklands hell. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck.
I'm looking forward to this, so much so that I'm going to look into a more direct route back, just in case people are up for it.
If you want to take a tandem, I think you should. It's the middle of a week day, no one will be on the train, and if they are I promise to scare them off by drinking cider and cursing in Canadian.
BTW, I think it say's alot about London polo that you have to get a mechanic to sort out your road ride. :-P

Cones are loose on the rear tandem wheel and the mechs need to be tuned... Probably could sort out the mechs, but the cones will remain loose... Hmmm, maybe.
-
• #222
Bring cone spanners, I'll sort it out in the AM if you like. Won't take a mo.
-
• #223
It will, drum hub has the cones inside the, drummy bit. It's a pain in the ass. I may try anyway.
-
• #224
Ahh, didn't know you had funky hub stuff. I retract my offer in horror.

Dalston lane cafe it is.
I heard you were waiting for a couple of frames James.
I can do the wednesday after aswell if there are work issues, or indeed both.
