bit of a long shot but does anyone have a set of 1" steerer bmx forks for a 26" or 24" wheel?
I've been looking at retro bmx cruiser forks but they are all in america and the shipping would cost a bomb
-
• #6162
do you reckon they would fit a 26" wheel?
-
• #6163
I suspect this will depend to some degree what tyre you're using. If you're talking 'pure' bmx forks, those designed for 24" will be your maximum length. What that equates to in terms of tyre clearance and/or A-C measurements, I couldn't say.
Or for that matter rake, which will have a significant effect on how your bike steers/handles.

Well, I found this 26" set which look like BMX forks just bigger, but I'm put off by the fact it is in the US.
Maybe I'll try looking for UK based lowrider/cruiser distributors

I think I've got a dura ace 16t fixed sprocket and lockirng if that's any use to you. what kind of pedals? spd?
-
• #6173
normal pedals, not spd. Dura ace sounds a bit fancy, how much would you want for it?
-
• #6174
Dura Ace is standard for Shimano track stuff.

I dunno, I think they're 20 new for the cog alone, so... a tenner for the cog and a lockring, posted? If I can find a lockring.
