My posts:
We are talking 26" here...
Please stick to the point? ;)
Your replies:
Your 700c Velocity Deep Vs are 580g each and have a larger radius. Your opponents will be shooting before you can get back. (Reading this post again, this seems to be slightly ad homimem)
Max Power has already described why 700c is not the right choice for polo.
Just admit you have bloody screwed up and misread my posts and not try to sweep it under the carpet and change subject.

hey!
in other news, here are the chrome domes that I suggested yesterday, although I'm not sure they're gonna fit on the front, only rear....oh and they're pricey. (£12 each)

Do people really pay £12 for a washer?! Wtf?
-
• #5817
Phil/hipster tax innit ;)

I bought koolstop dual compound before Euros thinking they would improve braking in rain but that wasn´t the case.
Are the green swissstops any better? -
• #5819
I can't compare them to Kool Stops, but I've just switched from 105 calipers with Swissstop green to Chorus with stock Campag pads on my road bike. The Campag performance drops off a lot more in the wet than the greens.

to be fair I have them on my daily ride and have no wheel slip problems compared to almost daily slipping due to super hard track end inserts on the Dodici

My SwissStop HP2 pads have been great in the wet so far... Very impressed...

But are they better than 50p's worth of washers from B&q? (Or just scoring the nuts for that matter)
I just torque the fuck out of the bolts, but I've only threaded 3 nuts...
As for the vbrake pads, if you are going to spend £22 on pads, you might as well go to discs, it'll work better in the rain and be cheaper in the long run.
-
• #5824
It's 22 for 2 pairs so it's 11 for a pair which is not a lot. Will go disc eventually but will still run v brakes for this winter so spending a bit more on pads in the meantime.
-
• #5825
I agree discs are much, much better in the wet...
I prefer v-brakes, probably cuz I've never used discs and they're easy to set up... And I think they're safer...
