YeH front disk guard. My bad.
Kev, If I don't find any relatively quick solution, ill let ya knoe fam.Have you got an old or bent rotor? I can cut and drill a steel plate for you to mount it on, I've got a few just gathering dust. Then you'll just need to cut the rotor to fit the fork & caliper. 2 minute job with a dremel.

Wont having a disc brake guard mounted that way put stress on the axle or hub?
-
• #4030
I doubt it, it's not taking any force that the axle wouldn't anyway in a crash.
But you are best asking max.

FWIW I'm getting a Middleburn Uno as a Christmas present, and I'm getting a Hope BB for it.

Unless you're rich. In which case, can I have a set too?

• #4043
I know it's stupid, but I want it.
tell me what else to get.
-
• #4044
just get a cheap deore one, that will last you forever and if it doesn't in over a year when it wears out then you can just buy another one for 12.99 rather than £70 for hope and £100 for chris king.....although saying that I would I would buy a Hope if i had the money....or was John 'the pimp' H

£200 for polo cranks? You're still in that k-hole.
-
• #4046
but mangs dey look so bling ya get me?
-
• #4047
cranks wise I really love the standard deore ones which you can get for around £30-40 on pink bike, marry that up to a goldtech chainring for £30 new and you got yourself a sold crank set for under half the price of the middleburns....

Square taper RS7s can be had for £50-60 on eBay, living in the past will save you money (plus they're lighter when paired with a bling BB and have a shorter Q-factor for less pedal strike).
I have a spare 32t ring if anyone needs it.

These are my favourites, black versions of my Deore LX. The best design (aesthetically) of the modern shimano 2-piece cranks IMO. For the short peeps, in 170.
