The phone was purchased there and was about 1 week old.

There was resistance at first but then the tears came, so the manager caved in.

However it caused a huge backroom argument with another manger on duty at the time.

But my niece walked out of the Apple Store with a brand new iPhone.

By the way, the manager who agreed to do the exchange was female.
