Just got the following message, anonymous and I think it's about this thread:

Reference the Sibbit frame. I used to work for Jack Sibbit at his shop in Longsight, Manchester a couple of years before he died in 1950. The name on the down tube puzzles me as genuine Sibbit bikes were named "The Sibbit" however just before he died he came to an arrangement with a Manchester firm for them to produce sports cycles under the name of Jack Sibbit but these were not made by Jack.
