I'd like to join Team Awesome! Although Team Momentum sounds alright, I'm not actually going to put any effort into turning it into a team, so it will just be me with my internet user name, which is slightly pathetic really...

Sounds like a fun event. I'll probably pop along to spectate and get drunk. Then lie on the track till someone bunnyhops me.

If it it comes together as we plan we might put the hurdles in the tent section, cue: "do a skid!"

By the way, is anyone going to the race this Wednesday? I think blasting the Herne Hill course would be a fun way to spend an evening so am planning to head down. Looks like the race starts at 6.30 and I think there will be weekly races until 9 September.

I'm racing on Wednesday. The senior race starts at 7 pm.

Cool - looks like the main race for everyone is at 7. Do you know if you can race without a license? Last year you could so I assume it will be fine.

I think these are all under "GO Race" status, so no license needed.

September 9th sounds good, but I fear I'll be working that evening too.

Might pootle down this wednesday to watch and take notes, but still got no tyres due to post strikes last week so racing is off the cards.

It will indeed be awesome! Heading home to build up my bike and am fully prepared to need a double dose of man up to complete the race. That's what will make it awesome though.

That's what I'm talking about! Just built up my bike and have a historic back wheel with some 1% spoke cards from the alleycats when Jack was here, so it would be a shame not to race in true 1% style! Are you gonna come to any of the evening races in the next three weeks?

Brilliant to see that the E1234 race is now for 80 riders and that, accordingly women vets and juniors will go together and that their numbers have each been doubled.

Some good photos there Winston. Did you get many more entries for the Halloween race from people there last night? Everyone I spoke to was planning to do it.

That was my first cross race last night, and despite puncturing with a lap to go, I enjoyed it a lot. I've aches in places that don't normally ache today though.

Everyone there was aware of it.

What was your jersey / bike combination, I'll see if I have any pics of you....

I was wearing a black jersey (with black shorts and socks), white helmet and was on a ti bike with disc brakes.
