Shoes that don't need an adapter + pontoons fitted = working much better.
Without adjusting the spring tension I've gone from having to punch the foot out, taking several very hard punches, to being able to unclip normally.

also make sure the pivots are lubricated, where the jaw rotates on the spindle with the two springs.

i can recommend keywin pedals, i use them on the track and have not pulled them out, and there is track adapter kit for extra security

Oh well, there's another guy using them too then. Noticed them in the bike locker the other day.
Exustar get pretty close with the Keo compatible EPR-107TK that can take double straps but the hire fleet have (albeit cheaper) Exustars and we are seeing issues with them that have put me right off them.
I was surprised to see people running clips and straps at the World Cup, nicely surprised.
Even seeing people pull a foot is enough to make me think about pedal security.
