Just started at the castle if anyone wants to buddy up. Lacking technique but boundless enthusiasm!

I'm at the castle about three times a week... Can be found sitting around drinking coffee telling people they're doing it wrong.

Was down at Mile End doing my induction last weekend. Looking to start going once a week I reckon after back from the GreenMan this wknd. Looked like there were a couple of nice bikes, the owners of which must purvey the lfgss shores. Think will be going with at least one of my friends but would be cool to meet others who go regularly....

We've got a great indoor climbing centre up here in Birmingham - Creation. It gives pretty good discount to all visitors who arrive by cycle. Good idea methinks.

I saw a major ground anchor fail by a french couple the last time i went. A guy took a big fall and his girlfriend literally flipped upside down. It kind of puzzled me why a pair of clearly skilled climbers wouldn't use an anchor when she was so tiny. I put it down to them being french. at least she had tied on i guess.

What's the bike parking like at the Castle? any better than leaving on the street?
Cheers in advance

Superb, not covered, but very secure, both in location and point of attachment. Some people don't even lock. Huge number of nice bikes there too.

Looking to get a couple more climbing partners so I don't have to bother inkymitts as often :)
Been climbing at the castle but not averse to trying another one of the London walls.

There's this, I haven't used it personally but it has been recommended to me.

I'm looking to start climbing over the winter. I've done it a few times before, but always stopped... Probably @ Mile End / Castle since I'll be living out east

Is anyone looking for climbing partners during the day at all, ideally at the castle?

I keep meaning to head back to the Castle, I used to go a couple of evening a week, but stopped going a couple of years ago.
I'd be up for heading there at some point after work, but cant really do day time (office job).

Unfortunately I can't go this evening, have to go weightlifting instead, would rather not. Just there must also be some other part time slackers around.

I've recently taken up climbing. I go most Wednesdays to Mile End with the North London Climbers. Is anyone else here a regular at the wall that night and/or a member of the North London group? I see quite a few fixies outside and it would be good to say hi.

I'm not climbing for another few weeks yet due to a wicked tendonitis, but I'm about 10 miles from Castle Climbing wall (I'm in Potters Bar). How do people rate it for bouldering? There seems to be a good few people using Castle, might catch up with you sometime.
EDIT - scratch that, just found their on-line vid, bouldering central. Come on fingers!
EDIT - Come on fingers? that won't help.
Anybody here go to Swiss Cottage or Seymour place ?
