  • they are, but not for those prices. i just spend too much time in front of this computer.

  • Anyone know where one might purchase the 430 in silver? Is Roberto still trading?

  • Roberto is off, ftm

  • 430 with D.A Hubs = the perfect ride

  • I think so as well... price/product wise might be the most likely choice.

  • ... however, this combination makes me sweat a lot

  • that's pretty cheap actually, if they're those £450+ hiNJSpser-approval one.

ED,forgetting the NJS label plus top prices charged.Do you like Japanese keirin frames?ie,the build quality & geometry.

  • ...i would guess no.

Now your talking my language!.My ideal wheel for me personally.

  • ...i would guess no.

    That's what i thought.I adore them!

yes I do, they're defintely extremely well made, the old saying 'the student become the master', the japanese framebuilder are the student, likely to be the best builder in the world.

I would love to own one but I personally rather get a nice custom Mercian that fit me perfectly for less than a 57cm Keirin frame, in the end of the day, it's a bicycle.

Thankyou. That's fair enough.I was just curious and understand your opinion.

  • Ah those NJS pisstaking is just toward the notion that some people think NJS is God.

NJS is just a racing stamp for Japanese Keirin racing.Means nothing outside that circuit.Having said that,i must confess i do have a full NJS track bike, simply becuase i like them.I took a picture of it the other day because i was considering posting it on here and then dropped my camera (compact £200 jobby ) breaking the lens!No good now.

    ED,Nagasawa master or student?

  • what I meant about the student becoming the master is that the japanese framebuilder become the master.

take Nagasawa for instance, in the 70's during the tokyo olympic, he grab the chance to study the italian bicycles (mostly cinelli) took them apart, rode them etc. before deciding that he want to become a framebuilder and study in Italy, before he went back to Japan and make his own frame, hence he master were the Italian, now it's the japanese.

Oh,that's why puts the Italian flag along side the Japanese flag on his frames.Did'nt know that. Thanks for that info.

  • I'm sure you may have notice that the Nagasawa look quite italian (as well as other Japanese frame).

    Well,you can't go wrong there.Best of both worlds!:o)

Oh come on ED, did u really think that?
It's not about NJS, "NJS is just a racing stamp"..."Means nothing outside that circuit...".
Some people go crazy with Hetchins... that personally, don't move me that much. I can recognize the quality in the make, but it's a matter of taste.
It's not like we're discussing about Charge Plugs vs FBM's.

  • noice, too little spokes though. are these from Benscycles?

  • Hoshi T.d.V. Not too little, Shamals use 12, and that's for the road.

  • i know its strong enough, too little for my hipster eyes

  • i like especially those, they are particularly beautiful
