  • Proud XL in castelli, you should be an L (I think)

  • I wonder what I am.

  • It's early days, I think we're seeing what works and going from there. Plus there is a whole bunch of stuff on order that hasn't arrived yet so I'm hoping that will bridge some of the gaps. I'm open to suggestions though...

Like more variation in female clothing?

  • I'm pushing for it Ed! We have to see what sells first though...

Whilst you were TFG I would not go in an expect to see a load of sunglasses or Garmins or tools or a wide range of road racing/training tyres. If you are chasing roadies you are going to need all that shite and more else they will walk to Evans or the Specialized store or just go to Condor.

You're selling Bont shoes and custom Trek bikes but had no quality tyres on sale that I could see downstairs.

  • ^this is delusional.

Okay, maybe I didn't make it clear what I meant. I agree that they don't have the biggest range, but they have an incredibly diverse range, from the average bits and bobs that you can get anywhere, to the really rare stuff that isn't readily available in a physical retail shop in this country. I guess I am comparing the stock on offer to what was on offer in TFG, which in comparison to Kinoko, was fairly limited.

  • Oakleys are on their way and we stock various Garmins and tools. Most tyres are stored above the workshop atm as we're trying to find a good space to put them out but if you ask any of the staff we'll be happy to help. Conti's are out on the floor and I would say they are quality tyres.

  • ^Rivendell Jack Brown's too! Tyre pr0ns.

  • I took a photo of those yesterday, meaning to edit it to say Jake Brown but I couldn't be fucked when I got home lol

  • I would say they are quality tyres.

We will have to agree to disagree ;)

Hippy's irrational fear of German rubber is spreading...

To be fair, the majority of roadie tend to go for conti simply because they're conti, so they stock the most popular "upgrade" tyres you can get with your OTP.

  • If the goal is to gain some of the roadie $$ then offering Di2 firmware upgrades as part of a service would be a nice differentiator- drop the bike off, specify shift speed, button configuration and multi-shift option, pick up later.

Condor and Sigma might offer this, but I've not seen anything advertising it.

Popped in this morning for a build job - everyone was super helpful. New place is looking great congrats!

  • can they bleed hyrdaulic disc brakes? one of mine needs doing. if so how much? and can it be done on the day?

  • Hey, are tfg still open for now btw? I'm round that area on friday and was going to call in.

Nope don't think so, just go into kinoko.

  • Ah ok. Thanks.

I'm certain we can - if you ring the store and ask for Bodhan he can advise you on price and lead-time

  • Just to let everyone know - we'll be closing at 6pm tomorrow for a friends and family launch party, so the shop isn't open for customers.

We've sent a load of invites out, but if you feel like you should have been included then please email us.

Back to regular hours on Friday, so open at 8am.

  • So is it better than Sigma sport and Condor?

    That's the real question

  • I guess the new Kinoko Opening and Party has fucked up internet orders or whatnot, placed an internet order before opening hours on Tuesday and no delivery today, the tracking site says: We have been notified that your item is being shipped by the retailer; the next scan will appear when we receive this item.

I guess no new bike build this bank holiday weekend for me facepalm

  • If the game plan here is to take the fight to Sigma and Condor then an obvious area to specialise in would be power meters- setup/maintenance, configuration and so on.

I reckon a Power2Max offering would go down well.

  • Really pleased with service today, wheelset ordered were ready quicker than expected and total price came to a tiny bit less than expected (which is always nice when spending a lot of money) and coffee and friendly chat all made experience of the new shop very pleasant!

LOVE the cannondale track on the wall! and the njs display downstairs!
