  • Any news on the frame price for the trooper?

and does it come sans fork?

  • Any news on the frame price for the trooper?

and does it come sans fork?

No new news, should be close to the price of a Wide Open.

and maybe - it's under consideration.

  • Cheers,

Deffo interested in it but not sure I want a steel fork so would be a decent option!

  • Came to the store today- genuinely the best service I have ever received. Don't live in London but consider this to be my LBS from now on.

  • Passed by the shop today. Saw a man in a suit with a wallet full of cards paying for something. So the plan is working!

  • Have to say, all sorts of average stuff are well pricey in there.

  • Guess that's how you pay the rent in Soho unfortunately.

On the plus side they shipped my TB14s in double quick time. Ordered late friday, arrived early Tuesday.

Hang on a second... Isn't that pretty much buying anything in London? I don't think hitting at Kinoko for pricing really fits the bill when the entirety of London is more often then not heavily over priced.

  • Went last week, great layout and loads of product in there.

    Great mudguards too!

    Chapeau.

  • Right - who likes the Road.cc fantasy cycling leagues? We do.

Join our league (77131) and we'll be giving prizes for whoever is in the top 5 each week. Additionally, if you have the most points by the end of the Tour, there is going to be a MASSIVE prize up for grabs...

  • Morgan, is it possible to order stuff from your distributors that you don't stock regularly? Eg Rivendell Rol-y Pol-y tyres?

Sup JB. Yeah, not a problem - just email sales at Kinokocycles dot com.

  • Are the bits arriving for my fatbike build?

    Done, cheers dude.

  • Pricing/Geo/Availability of the new Dart?

  • from the most recent Kinoko email they sent out...

Omniums are some of the best track cranks around - stiff as hell, they make an incredible difference to your ride whether that be track or road. Unfortunately, we're hearing whispers that Omniums may not feature in SRAM's crank line-up in the future. This might all just be speculation, but they're not in the latest catalogue, and that gives a certain credence to the rumours. We've got some of the last stock of Silver Omniums available at the moment, and they're bound to sell out quickly. The cranks come bundled with an external bottom bracket and an excellently machined chainring, making them excellent value for money as well as extremely high quality. Radically improve how much power you can put on the road with some of the stiffest track cranks around here.

why on earth would SRAM stop making a crankset that is so popular?

  • Small total numbers being sold vs cost of manufacture. New model coming out.

Or else it's just a rumour and a good opportunity to spam/scare you into buying a couple of sets.

run, spend your money - note how cleverly they sneaked in the magic words 'last stock' into the whole context now as well..

  • The set of Omniums I had must have been faulty as I didn't notice "an incredible difference to your ride whether that be track or road"

  • Did you not notice how the old square taper BB feel like a cooked fusilli severely reducing your power output closer to a potatoes than Mark Cavendish?

  • Hah yeah radically decrease the cash in your wallet.

Sorry, unless you are Hoy, claiming a crank can radically improve your ride is pushing it a bit unless your cranks are made of spaghetti.

why on earth would SRAM stop making a crankset that is so popular?

Is it that popular? It's a basic forged outboard bearing crank. There's not a whole lot remarkable about it. Apart from their chainline being unadjustable.

  • well judging by the amount of bikes I see with omniums attached they seem pretty popular.

I never said there was anything remarkable about them.

  • Popular on the forum maybe, there's a big bad world out there where a crank whose name sound like a person with a lisp eating loudly isn't very common.
