Yes, that is a bit extravagant; I was gently taking the piss over the probable cost of being such a hipster that you'd rather have the wrong size DuraAce than the right size Kalloy.
For much less money, and for a better job than coke can, go to a modelling shop and get some 0.1mm/0.004" brass or copper sheet, which has the virtue of acting as a corrosion inhibitor by the same mechanism as copper grease. 4D models in Aldgate have 0.1mm brass for £4.05 (250x300) or even better copper for £6.80 (300x400)

...I was gently taking the piss over the probable cost of being such a hipster that you'd rather have the wrong size DuraAce than the right size Kalloy... nothing wrong with shims, but wouldn´t that be just wanting something (full dura.ace) that works at all levels, and seems perfectly reasonable?
Nothing to do with being a hipster, I fail far too many times to really get that definition right.
If you ride your TT bike with a campy groupset, does that make you an hipster? ;)
edit: and the DA sp was the bargain of the month! -

Now i really have it. strangely it seems to fit the 26.8 properly, but still going to use the shim.

yeah I have similar problem too, a simple piece of coke can sort it out.
