Wow... That's a fantastic bike.... Damnit it's out of my price range and slightly too small for me....
My dad had a Koga-Miyata tourer from this period (1982 or so) and it cost him £1000 back then. He still has it.. In concourse condition - It's in his will so will be mine, oh yes........ Koga Miyata were incredible bikes at the time. And If I'm not mistaken some of the first to have fully dura-ace components...
I seem to remember at this time this exact bike was around £600 new. It wasn't the top of the range road bike, but still about 3 times better and more expensive than other comparable bikes from the time. I seem to remember the one up from this came in blue.
It'd be a total travesty for someone to buy this beauty and convert to ss/fg it IMHO.

Koga Miyata GL-S
