And when was is ever said that BAD should play because of brendan/dts involvement in organising the euros?
It was said they should get in by winning the league, even though it was never suggested during the league that the winners would get in...
I said a similar argument, not the same.

;835232']C... they did make it to the qualifying tourney which was set up on a date most accomodating to as many teams as possible, including Brendan until the last minute, and they did come in 5th place by beating Sitting Ducks (correct name?) in a playoff for 5th place just in case this situation arose.
The above are all facts.
My opinion is that Freaky Sexx deserves the next available spot that comes up.
Still true.

but vote goes with FS.

Didn't mean to rock the Euro boat...
It looks like the general consensus now is that FS should have 1st dibs on 5th spot. However, if they are happy to fight again for a chance to be in the Euro's by playing the winner of a mini tourney made up of any team who registered for the Euro's that either couldn't make the qualies or placed below FS, then guess that's the next fairest deal for all who still want in on the Euros.
@Hops...you can organize the above.
It's unfortunate that Los Conos (and other teams) couldn't make the qualies. But as Vidal said, turning up on the day was part of the deal to qualify (we made one exception of course). We can not undermine the results of that day...every team played their guts out. Otherwise we might as well right off the results of that tourney meaning everyone (including Bad) should have to play eachother again. But we all know that can't happen in the time available before the Euros.
My feeling still is it's up to FS to take that 5th Spot.
Amen

so let me get this right... you want me to organise a mini tournament to qualify... so i'm going to say if none of you can make it, then tough shit, you cant go through.
hmmm, deja vu?
;)
nah, its way too late now. just remember next time we should try to accommodate everyone.
I am totally gutted by the way, as i would have loved to have played, just didn't want to get an automatic spot (i.e. by being a girl) and tried my hardest to fight that to make it fair :(

As has been said above the whole point of the 5th/6th playoff was in case another slot came open, so I think FS should get this spot.

i disagree - there were months to get it sorted. a mini league would have been feasible like we suggested before the tournament was decided upon. think how many games we've played in the last six weeks alone.
anyway, this is my suggestion for next time as we will always have the problem of someone not being available.

Freaky Boys update ...
We are all willing and able to play the tourney however we are unable to play anyone before the date due to prior commitments.

Convenient, Pique! ;)

A little too convenient.

Los Conos are willing and able to play the tourney, however were unable to the qualifying tournament due to prior commitments. Based on these conditions it would be fair to say tough shit to you?
Just a thought?

5th spot goes to FS - then?
@Hops...sorry.
B.T.W, I or noone else has said 'tough shit' to you or any other team who couldn't make the qualies. Yeah it sucks for Los Conos and the other teams who had prior commitments. It would have been awesome if every team was there that day. However, it would have sucked way more now if we didnt give the team who finised 5th, 6th, 7th etc.. in the qualies first dibs on the next avail spot.

a golden wheel?
By 'making this tournament happen' I mean making sure that it actually happens. Yes, helping on the day, hosting players is fully appreciated but that doesn't make the tournament happen.
Andy is working on the website
Pique has handled some sponsors
Lockett is handling ref's
These all happen 'pre tournament' therefore actively working to make it happen. That's all I meant by that comment. And I did say that it's not the be-all-end-all and that it's never been suggested that it would add weight to any decisions. Horatio is correct, altruism shouldn't be actively rewarded but good things are supposed to come to good deeds.
