Since i wear a face mask, i got:
1) ball bounced from my mallet to my face in the Final in Rouen.
2) Brendan hitting me right into the face because he want to tap out. ( post n°957, 1:47)

Im not gonna play without this again. Plus, with that, you can find some courage to put your face into position that you woulnd't without cage or mask.

obviously the guy was trying some stupid shit that didn't work, but it's his right to try it, not your right to shout at someone who hits you in the face. Unless they did it intentionally.

I'm not sure I get this. Doing stupid stuff that may be dangerous is fine as long as there is no intention of hurting other players? (I don't care about the other guys reaction). Just because there is a way to protect yourself from something, and you have that protection, does not mean you automatically can play as if everyone else has that protection ("face cage or shut up").

That's what I didn't understand. I can't really tell what's going in that video. It doesn't even look like the mallet comes that far up or whether the helmet-cam dude's head is really low. But your post was expressing something about "rights" to do "stupid" stuff as long as its not intentional and exclaims "face cage or shut up." I couldn't really tell whether you were talking about polo philosophy in general or that situation.

If you are wearing a face cage you don't have a "right" to do stupid stuff, everyone should always be making a conscious effort to avoid dangerous play.

But if you're going to ride around a court chasing a ball with 5 other people waving mallets around and not wear a face cage, you're an idiot.
