(at 9.15) matt's decision to play the hard line pays off. awesome.

in vid 2 Shoeless Joe footjamming at 5.14
and Chicago Matt takes "safety buffer" to a whole new level. That guy plays like Jono, but he's big!

First video from Vienna! More to come once I have a GoPro ;)

Thats the "court" (basically just a large plain area ... ) we´ve been playing on for the last two years. After months of searching, I stumbled over this court on tuesday - a dream come true!
Snow probably already melted, can´t wait to test it out on Sunday ;D

This video makes me want to play like a loon (more so), good stuff:

Yep. Like it a lot. "High Octane" and all that.

Some of that play is really cool but I think the extent/force of some body checks in the NA game is fucking lame. If that's the way they all play fair enough but personally I hope polo doesn't go down that route.
Can't win the ball, I know I'll push you off your bike.

i dont think any of that play is particularly more dirty than over here. its a very short compilation from probably a two day tournament, if you see what i mean.

(not defending dirty play or NA)

I can't tell what videos are serious and which are meant to be a joke these days.
The song on that NA video has lyrics about ski jumpers so it must be a joke? But that really is what Todd hears in his head?

+1, I thought some of it was actually pretty good hustling. The last clip is just speed and pure balls, but he gets the ball fair and square.

Yea that move by capriotti is real nice where he pushes off leon and gets the ball is exactly why we need to keep contact in this sport.
meanwhile, NAH is wrestling with how to deal with clean shoulder checks that push people over the boards, either by making it illegal, or mandating 4 foot high boards at NAH tournaments.

Looks like Todd's really been packing on the pounds of recent
-
• #947
I think checking is a stage too far, in terms of contact. I wouldn't say the move I commented on above is a check.
I just tried to type out a definition of a check, nigh on impossible. Hard to enforce then I guess.

exactly what I thought. Scary stuff

Shoulders checks should be allowed any where, but like mallet hacking, whitout excecive force, and with shoulders...
At epiphanie this w-e, Matt from MGM take me by speed. Instead of trying to catch him back, or take some risk by putting my shoulders on his own, i just play with my forearms to push it. That was shitty. To have a clean contact, the defensive player should take some risk by putting his shoulder on opponent shoulder. That's what we need to learn from some US players imho. -

i think that, unfortunately, because some people are much taller/shorter than others, it doesn't always work out so well with the shoulders
Ok, so this comment made me watch it again, without skipping. Good game, few mistakes from either side. Beaver Joe rides with his heels on the pedals like a yoot, and Lefty Joe took too many shots from half-court. Other than that, good patient play.
