How easy is it for a ref to tell where the contact is? I'd say if the players arms line up, it's almost completely impossible to tell from almost any angle.
Also how easy is it for a player to ensure they only contact the arm above the elbow?A. Not very easy.
B. You're probably right.
C. Not very easy.But the wording does mean that the rule has a black and white description that players can try to play to (and refs can try to make calls to). All of our rules are hard to enforce, but it doesn't necessarily make them bad rules (until an equivalent, but more easy to ref option is suggested perhaps).
