The tone was set by Greg's brutal hack then t bone on schuhster in the first few minutes (1:37). Ref has to nip those things in the bud early on to make sure the game doesn't degenerate.

yeh precedent was set on the first day (i.e. no reffing) and by the ruleset that had no rules outside of 'like on like'. i did a lot of reffing on the second day, and made a bunch of calls (which i got plenty of shit for).

there was no hacking rule in this ruleset. hacking was allowed and never called/warned
