Base layer bundle - mix and match 3 for £110
    £36.7 each
i need one. anyone with me?

  • Bit disappointed to get the call yesterday that actually, they've sold out of bomber jackets.

That happened to me, but then someone returned one as it was wrong size and I got it

Kirth speaks the truth. People often buy two sizes of things and return one, so there is still a good chance of you getting one.

  • ^ sites like jaeger we used to see people order a few grands worth of stuff in various sizes and then return most of it, then do the same a few weeks later for something else.

Credit limits like a mofo some people.

  • The Short Sleeve Merino Jersey is fantastic.

Even on a 70 miles ride on a very hot Saturday, it was perfect, so glad I got the last medium one.

    I could be interested.

  • Fuck. My. Life. Going to see Batman in the West End Saturday so Mrs Brave and I thought it would be nice to have a quick drink and sandwich at Rapha CC.. hang bikes up. Say hello and chat to Big Daddy Wayne and have a little browse.. Order a lemonade, a elderflower water and two sandwiches.

    £17.86..

SEVENTEEN POUNDS AND EIGHTY SIX PENCE!

Two small bottles of soft drink and two sandwiches..

  • i think this may be one of those rare occasion's where it would have been cheaper to buy food at the cinema. WTF!

  • Were the sandwiches gritty?

  • nice but spicy?

Did you ever think that would be possible.

Drinks and sandwiches lacked grit and were not even close to being epic.

So, still cheaper than Look Mum.

  • nope… I paid 3 nuggets for a small flat white - pricey and not that nice

Did get to see mr and mrs brave and chopsicle which was cheap and nice

  • Two disaprate products I know but should I get the City Trousers or the cream rain jacket? I really need a decent lightweight rainjacket and I always need trousers.

    Stupid Q I know, but I literally can't decide

  • i think if you are going to pay for nice but pricey bike equipment i would go for the item which has more 'technical' features. I.E. the city trousers are not much different from a normal pair of trousers but the rain jacket probably has a bit more technology in it.

  • Is there anything technical about £17.86 worth of sandwiches?

  • lol no. I would have gone for a more cycle-specific food item.

  • do you realise how much ham they have to use to get the pink stripe down the middle? they have to cover their costs.

  • Needs more beet root with the feta...

I've got the rain jacket, very nice and pretty good venting... does get dirty easy though

    No

  • If you put a Rapha sandwich to your ear you can hear Simon Motram laughing at you as cash registers draws slam open and closed again and again.

It is safe to say I will not be repeating the experience ever again.

  • Lightweight- everyone knows Rapha is about epic suffering, in the case of their sandwiches they have introduced the suffering element via the financial burden that they impose.

Nothing like having to do three hours toil for one egg and cress sarnie.

  • I own Rapha gear. I love Rapha gear.

But I sat through two and a half hours of Batman and all I could think was

"£17.86 for two fucking sandwiches and a drink! £17.86 for fucks sake!"..

They didn't even have a napkin with an amusing anecdote about how Charley Gaul once suffered 5000 metres of climbing fuelled only on one single roasted vegetable and feta sandwich and a 32cl bottle of Luscombe Lemonade
