  • Yes but a bike is still one's own property.

I don't like people touching my mouse - not because they might damage it - I just don't like it.

Or standing too close to me and sticking their face in mine for that matter.

Your honeymoon night is gonna rock!

  • 20% of Rapha classic bibs:

    CLASSBIB12

  • might be of use to someone - even with 20% off there's a reason why i haven't bought them - my wife would murder me!

"As you haven't yet tested Rapha's award-winning shorts, we're offering you a 20% discount code for a limited time on a pair. Just enter the code below at checkout.

    CLASSBIB12"

  • made from luxury lycra..hahaha

  • if you're not 100% satisfied after 30 days of riding, you can return them for full refund or credit

does this mean i may end up buying someone elses 30 day used sweaty arse bibshorts sold as new?

  • Only if you got to one of their regular sample sales.

  • made from luxury lycra..hahaha

You may jest, but having spent far too much of my cycling career following people wearing cheap white cycling shorts, I think this is worth promoting.

  • Along with their base layers and socks, the Rapha bibs are one of the few things in their product line that are worth the money.

They're extremely comfortable and last a very long time.

  • And they don't show off your chocolate starfish to anyone sucking your wheel.

  • ^ we can all be thankful for that.

edit: Have you ever considered a applying as a copywriter for Rapha, Andy?

  • RISING12 for 15% discount code if the 20% codes have expired...

  • Just bagged me some bibs.... Cheers for the code. I've promised myself some for over a year.....

  • And they don't show off your chocolate starfish to anyone sucking your wheel.

+1 some scarily see-through shorts out there. Red shorts also seem to be particularly bad. Wiggo's supplied yellow skin-suit in the Dauphine literally left nothing to the imagination and my housemate was terrfified by his trouser-snake winking at her

  • There was talk in this thread a while ago about saddle pouches, and how there aren't any good ones on the market. Prompting the importing of the Timbuk2 ones which are a bit awkward to fit under a saddle.
Well a guy came in to my work the other day with a really nice one, so I asked him and it turns out he makes them.

He does loads of other bags too and sells them through his Flickr

  • Fuck me - that's like a sleeping bag for Scoot!

  • TdF 20% code still works. I just got some 3/4 bib shorts.

  • ^^^^caffe nero loyalty card but not a lmnh one? hope you kicked him out...

  • Nice one, just bought a rain jacket with the TDF discount - £38 quid off!

  • Nice one, just bought a rain jacket with the TDF discount - £38 quid off!

    Still a bit pricey though?

  • I have a daft question: I'm a uk 8 and am wanting to buy the merino socks, however this means large and I am keen to avoid having mid calf socks. Does anyone else fall on the cusp of size changes?

  • I'm a uk 8 and mediums are fine. socks are stretchy.

  • Ace, I thought so. Thanks for confirming.

  • 20% off: BSTTdF2012

    Still works, still expensive

  • Just went into the shop.

The jeans have sharp-edged metal studs on the pockets, not a good idea as they can tear your skin up when hitting the road. They should have talked to some skatewear people about that.

Then I looked at these 3/4s and trousers with a diff material around the crotch - looked really good, then realised they have massive seams right where they shouldn't. Duh.
