Big dissapointment.
Loads of jerseys and hats, some gloves, some mens trousers.
Loads of paul smith tops.
Ladies shorts at 60£! (last time 40£)
No bibs, leg warmers, baselayers, jackets.Ended up buying 2 ls jerseys.
Not worth going there unless you're after a jersey.

I'm still after a hat if anyone wants to help me out? A grey knitted one or a black winter hat? Or if anyone has one that they want to move on?
Cheers -

Any black polo shirts short and long sleeve?
-
• #7430
Queue wasn't too bad this morning, much busier than the summer sale and probably not as good. But you can pretty easily find a short sleeve jersey of some kind and probably some gloves. It's still worth going if you can really
Magpie I was a few of the black LS polos

Stedlocks, I got a grey knitted hat in the sample sale that I've offered to a friend - if he doesn't want it I'll let you know.

J in Rarpha? I need to see this.
Ride soon?

I'd be embarrassed to wear rapha tbh - it's not just the rapha clad city types grunting up box hill on lurid carbon that puts me off - it's the branding of cycling history and culture - the idea that a product can be somehow associated with the great cols, the great riders, the heroics and tragedy of great races etc... I actually find their brand and marketing crap a bit of an insult to the sport and its heritage tbh.

But isn't that the case with most advertising campaigns?
About buying into a lifestyle?

Yes, and it invariably amounts to a cynical devaluation of the idea that is being sold. I dislike rapha particularly because I value what it is they are co-opting to flog their products.

But, crucially, it's also very comfortable and well made.
Bit dog in the manger to ignore that aspect, due to some black and white photographs of espresso fuelled suffering.

Went today, mid-afternoon. Picked up a couple of l/s track jerseys for £100. A bit of an indulgence for me, but I'm happy.
I just realised, though, that they're £120 at RRP. Each. Bloody hell.

^ any mediums?
-
• #7443
Mine are both small, but there were medium jerseys everywhere. I specifically remember lots and lots of medium s/s jerseys, but can't be sure on the l/s ones. There was a giant box full of the burgundy track tops though. Definitely worth a look, I'm just sorry there weren't any bibs left.

I did try to look for some leg warmers for Laner. I found 1, singular. I figured 1 wasn't enough.

cheers, the other half may pop down tomorrow then, in search of medium LS. I love my red track top acquired last year, wear it so much.

They make cycling gear that doesn't make you look like a novelty condom.
That alone is good enough for me.

Carson
You do realise it's just cycling clothing yeah?
'I dislike rapha particularly because I value what it is they are co-opting to flog their products.'
fuck me, I've read some shite on here before, but your statement is single-handedly the biggest pile of wank, ever.
Well done, I salute you.

Anyone there at the moment? I'm thinking about checking it out but my hangover means that I only wanna go if it's really worth it.

Friend of mine just called from there, he was passing and only a few (-20) in the queue. Still sounds like meager pickings, but he got a track top for £25, not much else of interest but sounds like they'll be lowering the prices to get rid of what is there.
So who's in the queue right now?
Me and Hinata are standing just at the end. Looks like an hour waiting. If anyone is planning to come i'd suggest later.
Last year there was no queue at all on sat from lunchtime.
