Hi Pifko
We are looking at accessories for next winter but our merino softshell comes with a hidden mitt that you pull over your hand in case you need extra warmth on the run. I find gloves sometimes become too hot and sweaty on a run so this option allows more room to breath. We will only launch a glove when we are totally happy your hands stay warm but don't overheat.

Perhaps a tub of embrocation that evokes the unmistakable scent of a boxfresh pair of Asics.

Hi ashmei, so affiliation with blue chip brands and blue associates. Do you have any involvement with the blue waffle phenomonon?

As an aside from this exciting new Ashmei brand, the zip on my PS Merino Jersey is borked. Do Rapha repair sample sale purchases?
-
• #6606
Do ashmei make any waddle jerseys? I can't run that well.

I should add that the PS Merino Jersey is a nice bit despite the zip issue.... I do like to have my jerseys zipped right up though, but that's more to do with my asphyxiwanking habits.

Rapha is a great brand with some great products and ashmei will offer something different to their line with a stronger focus on performance.
Watch this space.
Wow. So Rapha don't have a strong enough focus on performance. Just suffering and the Alps?

Anyone have experience with the Merino boxers? Any good for riding more than 20miles?

Just had a look at that Mac Softshell you're all banging on about - it's absolutely amazing.
£400 is a bit inflated, but not by much if you look around at other brands (outside of cycling) and what they offer. Plus the detailing looks immaculate.
As much as I hate Rapha's pomp and hype, it strikes me that a lot of people don't really know how much things cost. If you don't want to spend the money then stay smug and wear Endura.
yeah, compared to that £300 Mission Workshop softshell it's not outrageous.
of course compared to anything normal it is.

Yes, they have repaired my trousers.

It's not really comparable to a 'normal' jacket (whatever that is.)
I'd be interested to see how much the fancy new fabric it's made from costs per metre but, as far as technical outdoor/sports wear goes, it's probably about right. Sadly.

All these people talking about £400 for a softshell being reasonable for technical clothing, wtf? Look at someone like Rab and their softshell jackets are *half *that.

FFS!
It's a premium designer product.

Good summary.

I thought similar earlier, and checked the Arcteryxx site - their softshells are cheaper (though there's no direct comparison to make - only the one with a hood and more pockets is as pricey as the Rapha softshell)
I strongly suspect that the arcteryxx is a better quality garment than the Rapha.
(but as Hugo7 says, you're paying (and you're perfectly aware that you're paying) for something that styles itself as much as a fashion item as a technical garment)

Hi everyone,
I just thought I'd let you all know about Bartokomous Bicycle wear. Its a new brand designed to compete on the Aldi/Lidl cycle clothing level. Its very affordable, but its fucking rubbish. We take your feedback seriously so if you want any crap products, please let us know and we'll get them from Primark, mark them up a bit and post them to you second class.

Oh no, competition for Waffa.

Note to ashmei: it's not personal, we're just bored at work
Will you be doing running gloves at all?
