  • Have the baselayers been restocked in normal sizes, ie small?

  • Any bibs?

Planned to get down there early, but insted I'm stuck at my parents house waiting for the bt engenieer to install some sort of upgrade thing which I don't really understand.

  • I wasn't looking for base layers but it didn't look good

  • Loads of stuff and no queue

Any mens black bibs (summer/short, xxl) ?

  • I'll have a look, for you Rowhan xl?

  • Can't see any bibs. Loads of jersey, both mens and wonens.
Womens lycra shorts. Mens casual shorts.

Ah well, bit much to expect on day 2 if there werent any yesterday haha. Thanks for looking

  • Verdict on women's shorts after 80 miles: not as good as Sugoi. The Breton sweater is amazing though, I am never taking it off.

  • Dear Rapha

Could you please re-introduce the Black Stowaway/Wind Jacket.

Also, could you not put the pocket at the front where it hangs down if you put anything in it.

If you absolutely must then can you put the zip at the side, vertical stylee like the ladies one.

A discreet rear pocket would be even better.

    Thank you.

  • Got a nice jersey and the last jacket in the store from rifling through some random box... The winter hat for a £5 is a pure win, although I won't hopefully get to wear it for a bit... I quite liked the elbows out bootsale mentalityof some buyers.

  • Just popped down and picked up a winter hat (god how I wished I'd had one of those last winter) a couple of pairs of trousers, and some presents for Mrs Quinn.

No queues, met JD and there was a couple of girls giving away free mini cans of Diet Coke in Brick Lane.

(Brick Lane itself seems a lot less skanky than it used to be. Haven't been there on a Saturday in years. I might pop down there again)

  • I might pop in tomorrow arvo as the lure of some gloves is very strong, are there any left?

    Mmmm, closed his eyes are..

    Ha ha,
Compared with 1999 it's fucking shiny.

Lots of full-fingered town gloves in brown and grey most sizes, some mitts in black and white, not sure of sizes.

  • Went there this afternoon - no queues.
I'm very pleased with the track top, Paul Smith wind shirt is a fantastic bit of tailoring and also found the 3/4 shorts in my size. I'm sorted for now. Pity there was no jackets.
Maybe I will come back for the sweater?
Also found a pair of leather mittens in XL. There was one pair of XL 3/4 team issue bib shorts, but I gave them up. It's not like I need any of the actual cycling gimp clothes. There was plenty of ss jerseys, hats and arm warmers and those Paul Smith merino long sleeve ones I spent a fucking fortune on last Autumn (still fuming!).
As a bonus I met Kirth in there.

Also plenty of women specific shorts and tops.

  • Was pretty good, nice to run into EEI (and again at Polo).

Ended up with gloves (think everyone has them now), two jerseys, a t-shirt, a shirt, and another long sleeve jersey. Only issue is the long sleeve... they are too long as always.

Not much in M/L/XL, lots in S and XXL :)

  • Also bought those 3/4 shorts. Mens, but they fit me perfectly. They're stretchy and come in small sizes, 28" is like womens small.

  • They are definitely worth it, those shorts.
When compared with Swrve ones, I prefer Rapha (but with sale prices).

  • ah hmmm I like my Swrve ones, are the Rapha ones that much better? Should have got a pair I guess

  • There is always tomorrow.

  • They're 40£ on sale, normal price 135£ i think. I don't think you can find a better pair for 40quid.
    Super comfortable.

  • You should take a pair for that price, Rich.

  • I should've taken a pair of touring ones as well. I just don't like the look of baggies.
