  • Ordered my first piece of Rapha the other day...pink, cream, and grey club jersey. And I'm not yet 20. What have I become!?!

  • There's no 'i' in Montane. [/crap buzzwords thread]

There is 'one', though [/crap posh buzzwords thread]

  • There is not in Montane [/crap Schixie pun thread]

    A cunt.

  • Ha!

  • A cunt.

    Probably the truth.

  • A stylish, wealthy cunt.

  • A stylish, wealthy cunt.

That's probably the worst kind as well...although I will be pairing it with a set of Primark thermal leggings (the only other cycle clothing I own), so not quite sure what that makes me.

A bobbly cunt with an overdraft.

I suppose that makes me a refunded cold cunt.

    Nice but a bit pikey?

  • *golfclap

  • I just used my vouchers - bought a gilet. Mmm, warm torso.

  • hmm I never saw the use for a gilet, unless playing golf in the winter.

  • Well, that's exactly why I bought it.

  • Gilet: appalling concept, but functional win. I've got 3 of the fuckers now.

    • Winter weight: roasty toasty, use with arm warmers, or long sleeved jersey, and throw a showerproof over the top if it gets into sub 5 degrees territory. Works up to about 10 degrees over a summer weight jersey, but you have to work the zip.

    • Mid weight, mesh back: now does spring/autumn commute duties, with t-shirt and optional armwarmers.

    • Ultralight weight, mesh back: sandwiched between base layer and jersey for early season TTs in 0-10 degree temps; warmer spring/autumn rides over summer jersey; easy to stow in pocket, and keep there for emergency temp changes or ultra-bonk.

Truly "the best a man can gay".

^sorry, none of the items listed are Rapha products (Champ-Sys, Gore, Craft).

  • I bet you like to pretend it's a flak jacket.

  • Waterproof, light and pack up so small you can hold them in your fist.

The Featherlite velo I take it?

  • One of those. Mine wasn't even cycle specific.

Proper waterproof jackets are not really rideable for long anyway, as you will boil and sweat in them.

  • Yeah, have worn a berghaus I have for what wasn't even that long (15-20 minutes) and I felt as though I was inside a pressure cooker.

  • Montane are really good though - I've used their windproofs and waterproofs for years for walking/climbing etc and they've been superb.

    • several

I am worried that I am similarly equipped

Merino Gillet for winter (from embers)
Semi lightweight for winter training rides
Lightweight to act as a windbreak

  • and the montane featherlight stays in my camelback for mtb excursions

  • I've got one of those too. I got it before you did.

  • I'm properly annoyed..............I bought a Jersey after much deliberation and saw what I now know to be a defect straight away, but thought it was part of the design........On closer inspection, it obviously wasn't, so I sent it back.

'No problem', they say, 'we can replace it with a grey one.......actually, one of the chaps has just told me we can repair it!'

Okay, so it goes away for two weeks and returns today.
But before the picture, ths should have been a brand new jersey for me and I certainly haven't caused any damage as I handled it reverentially.......This is what I received back today. Can you notice anything?

Its about ten times worse nad more noticeable than before.........fucking abortion
