  • My girlfriend bought me my first ever bit of Rapha for my birthday in November - a Paul Smith jersey.*

    It was all bobbled after just wearing it in the house for an evening though, so Rapha said "send it back" and I got a replacement. *

    But when that got here the hem wasn't sewed properly. They said they'd had problems with this product and people had sent them back.*

    Generously they said they'd replace it with another jersey and give me some vouchers, so I sent it back for a second time.*

    Now, today, four months after I was given it and with me yet to be able to wear it, I was told they wouldn't do that any more - it was a mix-up and they shouldn't have offered it.*

    So my girlfriend got a refund that didn't quite cover the cost of the jersey, I got no birthday present and Rapha lost a customer.*

    If the quality is ropey, and the service poor, what's the point?

    I love some of their designs, but my experience with them has been really, really poor. The marketing is all hype.*

  • I returned my Torm T5 because the stitching went on the collar and they only had T6's to replace. These were not to my taste and then the Rapha Gods had a half price sale, so for a few extra pounds I got an upgrade.
    The first one arrived and there was a massive snag on the back. Replacement quickly enough, second one, stitching went in exactly the same place as the T5. Exactly. Return and replace, quickly enough but I'm not sure the stitching is great.
    Customer service was fantastic though, got personal service from the same bloke and an explanation they have stopped using the old supplier because of the quality.

    I'm not happy. Totally put off them now. And what was a terribly thoughtful present from my other half is now all ballsed-up, which is a bit crap for her.

  • That really is a shame, but I'd push that a bit more. Read my previous post on my experience with returning, they were as helpful as can be!!!

    I'm signed up for the newsletter, is that the only place to find out about sales etc?

  • Push it a bit more? I first got the jersey in November... I've emailed them dozens of times, posted it back twice. I think they've had ample opportunity to sort it out.

  • Use outlook to set up a reoccurring email and have it send to them twice a day. Once at 9.30am and again at 4.30pm.

  • Point them in the direction of this thread so that can see for themselves what the little people think of their products?

  • Just had an email from Rapha. Apparently there's been a breakdown in communication and I'm getting vouchers and a replacement top.

    We shall see.
