chamois cream and embrocation make sense
kev, do you ride any decent distances?
-
• #3678
so ed, do they do one for your huge ass?
-
• #3679
You're one to talk dancing_ass.

Oh dear... Skincare?
It's all going downhill.
Rapidly.
Without breaks.
On black ice. -

WTF?
what exactly don't you understand?
chamois cream: you put it on your nether regions to stop chaffing.
embrocation: it's got hot stuff in it and you rub it on your legs in winter to help circulation and to feel all warm and tingly.
soap: FFS. -
• #3682
so assos make a chamois cream and that is acceptable, but the fixie skidders get upset when rapha make one
fucking bunch of bed wetting cunts
embrocation is also really useful, not just in winter
-
• #3683
hey james.. sometimes i do 40miles, not really far i know.. but i find the proper selection of underwear stops the chaffing.. ie. doing 40miles in boxers is a nono.
-
• #3684
do 100 miles and you will understand the need for chamois cream, google the term there are plenty of brands on the planet.
btw, you would not need chamois cream on your boxers
your comment is about as fucking useful as "i ride to the cafe on my fixie skidder conversion, UCI team bikes with gears. WTF?"
-
• #3685
But double or triple that and cream will help
-
• #3686
i dont think the fixie skidders have chamois in their denim cutoffs
they are all confused
-
• #3687
Sorry I forgot the obligatory swearing......err......yeah man, do 120 fucking miles and see if your chaffed balls feel good
-
• #3688
so assos make a chamois cream and that is acceptable, but the fixie skidders get upset when rapha make one
moreover, the pricing is fine too, on pair with what you pay for assos stuff in the shop.

Vaseline anyone?? does the same stuff!
-
• #3690
No it doesn't
-
• #3691
Kevin isn't wearing lycra, he wears jeans with no boxers, with handfuls of Vaseline to stop the chaffing
-
• #3692
Northern lasses use tons of Vaseline to protect their legs from the colder conditions when in short skirts. so if it works for them!!
-
• #3693
i'm particularly impressed by the ability to spend £7 on a bar of soap - essential oils notwithstanding

must be a troll, he could not be this fucking retarded

I see nothing wrong with it apart from the price.
140ml Assos chamois cream ~£10
125ml Rapha chamois cream ~£15Assuming they are of comparable quality, nobody checks the brand of cream i stick in my arse crevices.

We keep very different company

i'll be buying both the embrocation and the chamois cream but will be adding my own labels to differentiate between them - both come in similar tubs and i'd rather not accidentally slap a handful of heavily mentholated cream on my scrotum before a ride or at any other time.
-

£5.42 - Win!
and it doesn't have that tingle…
-
• #3699
and it doesn't have that tingle…
I only buy it for the tingle... don't using it whilst on my bike, mind.

I like Assos cream. But most of the time use Sudocream.
Chamois cream FTW.
Assos one though, they're a fiver cheaper.
Love the fact that it got 'sizing guide'.
