  • Standard delivery - £100 or over - FREE - 5-7 working days. Your order will be delivered on or before the 5th working day.

  • They sent me a voucher to replace some bib shorts and it turns out I can’t use the voucher, but rather get a refund after I’ve bought the shorts myself 😂

Not sure that’s strictly speaking the definition of a voucher...

  • I would rate them as much slower than almost anywhere else you are likely to shop online.

  • I’m probably just being impatient.

  • My favourite was being told my items had been dispatched, and then a day later being told they were out of stock and having to wait 5 days to be refunded.

  • Standard delivery - £100 or over - FREE - 5-7 working days. Your order will be delivered on or before the 5th working day.

Surely this should read: On or before the 7th working day.

I remember writing all these when the SLA was 3-5 days. Some twit has extended the SLA to 5-7 days without updating the text. Sloppy.

  • tsk tsk tsk

  • I had to chase them up fairly recently. Think it was like 10 days between order and dispatch, cant remember what they said, generic answer I think.

  • Is the express delivery still express? Ie the order comes in 1-2 days after ordering?

  • Yay.

  • Any one had their balls battered to bits in Pro Team bibs?

Got a pair of the Pro Team training bibs or whatever they're called and they did not seem to accommodate testicles too well. Perhaps they just need to soften up. (the shorts, no the baws)

  • I shared exactly this thought when I listened to Justin on the podcast with Gus and Bobby J. Very heavy focus on kit being bling, wearing cool trainers, nice team cars etc which having worked in cycling development in Manchester is the opposite of the ‘cheap, available to everyone’ image we struggled to put out. I think Tao has a better approach with his ‘let’s stop the money based arms race’ and plays more to the strengths of popular inner city sports that you can play in whatever trainers you have on, you don’t need extra kit and if you do your club can afford to provide it etc.

  • ‘let’s stop the money based arms race’

That ship sailed a long time ago. Even in bmx there's a lot of money dropped on bling bike etc early on now. The number of equally bling motorhomes at nationals seems to be on the up too.

  • Yeah, true, it should. Not that I've had any sight of it but, the estimated delivery dates have clearly been amended due to Covid disruptions, I imagine purely to cover CS's arse and ideally prevent rants like the above happening. It's probably less about the time it takes for Hermes to deliver the parcel, but giving the warehouse operatives some breathing room with working under restrictions and getting orders out the door.
Anyway, I guess I'll fix it on Monday. Thanks.

  • Any tips for getting mud/road spray out of chartreuse kit? Recommended 30 degrees with sports detergent doesn’t do it.

  • PT bibs are much less comfy than my classic pair, not stretchy enough. I was disappointed in them all round.

  • Think thats it, just hauling the pad up between the ol' boys. Got some Assos GT Mille bibs as well for the first time, so good straight off the bat I got another pair (£50 cheaper than the PT).

Will give em a bit of time but might just ship these Rapha ones while they're still worth something.

  • On what setting/temp?

  • Don't forget all the translations for the markets served by EU/RoW warehouse!

  • What do folk here rate as decent commuter bibs? Rapha core or sportful no rain? Anything else I should consider? Looking for sub £100
    Cheers,
    Matt

  • I couldn’t stand my classic bibs for that reason. They stretched and bunched up I found.

  • Something that’ll withstand a lot of washing. So anything roubaix with little/no sublimated graphics. Lots of cheap options.

  • 30c with a flap cycle

  • Commuter bibs? Suit trousers under 5k commute. Ordinary jeans/chinos/trousers up to 15k each way. Rapha classic bibs/Morvelo/Dhb for anything above that.
