Fair enough.

There's no way the roadmap is going to say anything other than 'throwing boatloads of money at pro teams is da best, and will make us loads of money' cos Rapha has to explain itself to the rabid finance boards of Walmart, who worship mammon, and they can't admit to it being a bad idea previously. So, expect to see more of the same. Just, y'know, brighter. And with more borrowed nostalgia for an unremembered eighties.

Imagine spending years working towards your goal of being a WT pro and end up having to dress like that in public?
I think I'd quit on the spot.

I really like it. The bucket hats are not.. my thing, but I think they're great from a marketing perspective.
people seem physically angered by it
Where?

Agree with this, too, though. The only thing worse than the bucket hats.

Doing anything thats totally original in this day in age is bascially
impossible, but great to see Rapha having a damn good stab at stepping
away from the norm. They are just following all the trends tbh. You just have to google fashion trends 2019 and silly bucket hats are coming, not just from cycling brands. Not a dig at Rapha, it's the way it all churns along.. but it's not stepping away from the norm.

We only just got rid of fucking bucket hats round these parts.

Bucket hats were last year weren't they?

I only know this in the context of rowing, but they came back into 'style' about 2 years ago there. 'Style' meaning American highschoolers wearing them semi-ironically for what they call 'free speed', and then everybody else imitating them. Personally, I can't stand the things, but hey... I'm just waiting for the top hat to come back.
Ya this
