Rapha, nice but a bit pricey?

I think the Rapha merino base layer is the best product they’ve ever done. Last ages, don’t stink, happy being washed and very versatile.

Seconded. I wear the short-sleeved ones as T shirts most days. Extremely durable, very comfy and don't smell except under extreme provocation.

yep, i love mine too. Really comfortable and easy to wear off the bike as well.

i have isobaa, armadillo and rapha. rapha is best by a long chalk imho followed by armadillo. isobaa ok but has been a bit holey. i use them all for allsorts, not just cycling.

Pro team insulated is great for winter

Brevet is very handy for summer rides that start or finish when it is chilly (morning/evening). The reflectivity is a bonus, too.

If you want the merino baselayer solely as a base layer, go a size smaller. If you want it a bit more versatile / casual, go for your usual size.

Has the fit of the classic jersey changed in recent years? I have an old medium long sleeve which fits perfectly but then my newer classic short sleeve one is comically short in the torso. Obviously less of an issue on the bike but the rear pockets end up sitting quite high.
