I got the winter windproof jersey this morning, has anyone used it? It looks and sounds like a bin bag, but I’m willing to keep it if it does its job.

This one? https://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/winter-windblock-jersey/product/WJY10XXBLK
Interested to hear opinions too. Doesn't seem to be much about it online. I'm hoping it does the job on cold morning high intensity rides.

I have it. It’s ok. Worth £50 I’d say. It doesn’t really pack that small.
I prefer my Altura night vision flight which is about half the size folded and as breathable (ie not). If only I hadn’t put that somewhere and left it :( -

That’s the one. I got it in the 50% off deal on Friday so at least it was less pricey.

So is it quite baggy and flappy?
-
• #30034
No not really, it’s consistent with other items in the classic range. It just makes a rustling sound when you move in it and has that creased black bag look about it. It does feel nice on when you keep your arms still though!

They arrive in a black plastic bag. You may need to open it up.

I have the short sleeve brevet version. The wind blocking panel works really well. I wore through a 450km ride in the summer with a merino baselayer. Added arm warmers at night and unzipped it during the warm parts of the day and it was great.
I think the winter one is slightly warmer all over but I'm a fan of the idea of a jersey with windblocking parts for sure.

I thought as I’m working from home today it’s only fair I take it out for a test run. It’s a nice jersey, great fit as you’d expect and the rustling was soon drowned out by the wind. It’s 8 degrees with a strong wind but I didn’t feel the cold once. Probably wouldn’t wear it in any warmer conditions as it’s quite toasty.

Pro team winter tights with pad on offer!
Tempted to get them although leg is likely to be too long.Looks like there are no zips or foot loops, so could they be folded in or cut and adjusted?

I got excited until they had no S or M. It's 8.43am goddammit.

I would say so yes, as long as your adjuster of choice works with technical fabrics.
Back in Bath my seamstress dealt with all of Lululemon's returns and repairs and was an absolute star with repairing lycra. So useful.

Pro team winter tights with pad on offer!
I caved. Difficult to find decent bib tights without a stupid zipper on the ankle and worth a punt at 65% off, even in chartreuse (will be taking a sharpie to the branding).

Can anyone remember how the Jan sale compres to the BF one? Will it likely be all the same stuff at the same discount?

Rapha postage service remains awful.
Pay for next day delivery- Order confirmed before the cut-off.
Fail to have dispatched two days later.
I wanted to go riding with my wife on her last day off and she needed some warmer things to wear.
Pretty unimpressed. -

That reminds me, I need to chase a refund for the failed next day delivery from a recent order. A refund was promised, but hasn’t been forthcoming.
I’d complain, you might get more than a refund.

Have complained- it won't really do anything to solve why I'm annoyed. I have had no time to go ride with her for ages thanks to work, we'd planned for today but 4-6 degrees in her running kit just would serve the exact opposite purpose to the intention.

You might get a jacket

My order from Thursday morning still says "We're expecting it" on the tracking page.
I was overcharged for that jersey which was 50% off but was showing at full price, and have only been given a voucher for the amount rather than a refund.
I give them the benefit of the doubt because of reasons, but a little annoying, given the £££

and why charge £5 for shipping? Even Wiggle doesen't .. isn't rapha more 'premium' than Wiggle?
do you run cold?
