mine were stitched then patched on the outside

Rucksack is bigger (30l). No zipped key pocket. Be prepared for it to mark easily.

Thanks.
Do you mean the retroflective coating gets permanently damaged easily or just dirty? I really like my 2013 backpack but could do with it being bigger with extra visibility for winter.

I've got the reflective rucksack, and the coating (which I think is 3M) gets scratched pretty easily, and picks up dirt/water stains very easily. So far, some babywipes has cleaned it up okay, but it's starting to look grubby on the top.
Nothing too bad, just something to be aware of. It's a great pack otherwise, and the visibility is great.
I've not really babied it, so it's pretty tough stuff, but worth knowing going in. Strikes me that it's a good deal in sale (got given mine as a leaving gift) -

That's useful thanks.
Basically, I need to decide between getting the Reflective Rucksack with 25% off or the Reflective Backpack with 40% off. :/
The 40% off code I have expires on Thursday and can't be used on sale items.

I'll take the code if you are feeling generous?

Is the new Rain Jacket II going to show anytime soon?

Anyone tried the deep winter base layer? Wanted one a year or two back when it was in the sale, didn't pull the trigger then and now regret it given its £120!
(Obviously if anyone has a discount code going begging, that would also be lovely)

Where the hell do you live to need that?

Thanks Ru!

London, obviously... But I do some other outdoors / wild camping / mountaineering stuff on occasion, and wanted something for the coldest days / night riding, stuff like that.
And just sitting around the house looking like a lazy ninja

Try the winter base layer and a balaclava for versatility.

Might be a good shout. I'd assumed that wearing with hood down would have the same effect without a "will I lose this if I take off while riding" concern

Rain Jacket II? Now that's one I would be interested in. Close to getting the core RJ to replace my old RJ, but if they are releasing a sequel then I'll go for that instead.
Any news anywhere?

My mate bought a dark/olive green one in Spitalfields last night, assume it's not meant to be in the shop yet (or he's confused about what jacket he bought)?

The second-hand hard-shell I bought off here, best clothing investment ever. Rode in it every weekday last week and this. Bit warm sometimes (+ just a baselayer) when it was over 14°, perfect at 4° yesterday with some (thanks you Aldi!) arm warmers. Totally windproof, seems very water-resistant in showers (not been in a downpour yet). Would now save up and buy a new one (ooof, way-pricey) when this one falls apart. (Very) subtle branding on it so I don't look too slave-like. Any views on their leggings?

Sounds like Pro team race cape.

Dark olive green sounds like shakedry.

Go to Bicester. Less saving up to do...

I have one of the hardshell jackets i rarely use unless it's baltic, it's too hot for the majority of the time!
Core doesn't have as long a drop at the rear, which is somewhat annoying, but probably my only gripe with it.
