Agreed. I took that picture on the Tour of Wessex. An awful lot of sartorial balderdash.

I bought a Belgian champion jersey from @Bainbridge . I look like a massive twat in it. If I wore gear that corresponded to my fitness and skill on a bike I would be draped in Aldi sale rail

I'd wear a jersey with that on.
FWIW, I think people should wear whatever they want when they ride.

This.
If you want to sew a patch on your top, go ahead. Internets doesn't need to validate it for you.
Who gives a fuck what anyone thinks about your sartorial elegance. If you're too cool for school eBay it otherwise, crack on. -

Are the winter gloves worth the money, or anyone got any alternative suggestions for a decent warm and breathable glove?

Anyone got the core rain jacket? Thinking about getting one as I need a jacket that is both waterproof and that packs down small. This seems to be a bargain in terms of Rapha stuff and looks pretty good too. Anyone had any experience with how waterproof it actually is? Gonna be doing a lot of Audax/long rides this year and would like to stay dry if the weather takes a turn for the worst. http://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/core-rain-jacket/product/CRR01XX

It's a bit boxy but not bad. I have found the Race Cape my go-to jacket this winter for my evening rides, with a long sleeve jersey (RCC club) it is warm enough even in sub temps.

not really worth the money for a pair of gloves, but the cut is great, and they are certainly breathable. in my experience assos fugus is an equally as good pair of gloves a bit more durable and less pricey.

ive got a pair of new Rapha randonnee shorts in 32 - anyone want to trade for 34?
You've not seen my Maratona jersey then (from 2000). That provokes ridicule and laughter whenever it's seen.
