Is that a pissflap or shitflap?

my god.
Just seen the new range-'Lines' pack jacket especially makes me think Rapha should start forcing their designers to go the opticians more regularly...
This season's new colour guys? Moiré

teal race cape is quite nice but. so is the brevet blue rain jacket

Picked up the softshell shirt - not quite convinced on size/shape of collar but it's a nice cafe piece

Mate's just said if you wear this you'd look like a human Lamborghini

• #27982
Have they been borrowing Planet X's models?
-
• #27983
Must admit, never been a massive fan of Rapha for some reason, I like quite a few pieces in the new range though

The new PT RCC jersey is nice. I might finally buy something full price. But probably not.

• #27985
Other club jerseys are available ;).

its nothing special, if there was a Prolly for UX it wont make the cut.
-
• #27988
I didn't say I thought it was special, merely surprised that nobody had commented.
-
• #27989
its nice

Probably a good thing, as good UX is kinda invisible. Made a big change and nobody is screaming at you and your analytics aren't reporting terrible things? You've done a good job.
If you get one person noticing and saying something positive, you've done a great job.

whereas I was all, where's this darn drop-down flibertygibet come from? What's happened. What's going on? Where's the old gone?

Insulated brevet jacket.
Yea or nae?
when I hear 'insulated jacket' and cycling I think of my own particular bovril-scented musk that my transfer jacket generates after a couple of rides around town.
The sale hooded rain jacket went back because I still can't get my head around their sizing, it sounds like the brevet jacket is equally confusing and I'll have gone from a standard medium to XL just based on chest size?

Definite yay from me.
Been using it from 0-10c and it is rather nice. I probably wouldn't use it above that or if I were going out on a baw-oot chainy or something, but it is definitely a nice piece. Works well in the wet, too.
My only gripe is that it is a little short in front, but I guess it is designed for riding, after all.
I wear XL and I'm 6ft5 and 92kg.

I was thinking it might be appropriate for the damp days up at our northern latitudes without being like the boil in the bag rain jacket.
The sizing just totally throws me now-older rapha stuff was totally fine and comparable to other brands, but for anything other than bibs the newer stuff is bewildering-I'm 5'11 and never been XL in anything but now even a large is tight across the chest but long on the backs or sleeves depending on the garment.

Have both insulated brevet jacket & gilet.
Changed my life.A Pro Team Jacket with insulated gilet on top works amazingly on those cold damp and misty mornings when I would normally wait for the mist clear before going out.... have a new appreciation for the beauty of cold misty winter mornings.
If I had to choose one, it would be the gilet, as it's more versatile, but both are excellent and well thought out bits of kit.
I like the fit. Am a small in PT, but find the fit a bit too 'pro' for anything longer than 3 or 4 hours. Small brevet gilet and jacket is perfect for me... I have brevet bibs in small too, but wish I'd gone XS in them as the bib straps are a bit loose. -

A Pro Team Jacket with insulated gilet on top
Jesus christ I would boil alive! I've just got the new PT jacket and it's significantly warmer than the old one.

I am considering picking up one of the insulated gilets too. I think it is more versatile than the jacket, and will be good for overnight audax, possibly paired with some shadow arm warmers.

I have the gilet, i like it a lot. I've used it as a mid-layer when it's been really cold.
I keep thinking about the jacket, i always get cold arms

Think i've taken my IBG on every ride i've done this winter. On its own over a jersey if it's not too cold, and with a normal gilet or windproof jacket over the top if it's closer to 0 degrees. Great for cafe stops too.
