Roberto Talking about quality cycling gear, Giordana also makes nice stuff and it's cheaper than Assos...
Giordana sizing didn't appear to cater for 'Extra Fat Bastard' although I had made my mind up to hunt for Assos and didn't bother to check other sites for other Giordana sizes.

Stef by the words of that letter the guys at rapha are getting ripped off somwhere along the process.
It's true that china manufacturers are high quality nowadays but it's still cheap as.Not really, he's saying that they use expensive materials that's why it's not cheap, and trying to convince that is hard to make a profit! Oh my!

I went to their website a few times - some of their stuff is really gorgeous. I don't really like synthetic clothes, i've never worn them - makes my skin itch, y'know :)
Tell you what, though - i think i'd buy some if i could afford it.. :D -

"The cost price advantage is a secondary issue."
a truck load of shite.
is he also saying that british craftmanship is basically rubbish?
not like i'm offended, or anything, but is it just too obvious to look for chinese (or equally skilled other origin) labour over here??!
there shorely MUST be a catch!!??? -

if you think rapha stuff is too expensive don't buy it, it's an easy decision to make.
i think it's great that rapha can extract that much cash from it's customers it proves they are doing something right with their business.I have a few rapha items but i only paid less than 1/4 retail price, it is overpriced at RRP

Stef and some fing pck at condor sez to me as i say i don't think it's that funny to spend £110 on a pair of cycling shorts : " well, you want quality, you pay for it
me :" haha!( i can't see the titanium stiching)"...(coglione di merda)
me: "well i'm looking for some summer mitts are there any you would reccomend?"
him:"they're all here mate"
me: "(mate??!!)thanx C U Next Time...mate"
some guy whispers :"the hell's his problem?"
me:" i don't fancy the Rapha prices"
the guy that whispered wlaks to the rapha corner that looks like some shop in Corso Montenapoleone in Milan looks at a tag then another one then steps closer and whispers:"'kinell"
me: "i know"I hate it when people call me "mate" in shops. I work in a well-known record store and its very casual in there but i never call anyone mate. You can be friendly without saying "mate"...
MrSmith if you think rapha stuff is too expensive don't buy it, it's an easy decision to make.
i think it's great that rapha can extract that much cash from it's customers it proves they are doing something right with their business.Exactly. Some of the stuff is real nice, but it comes down to if it's in the sale or not :P

hey guys maybe we should have something like our own clothing line, instead of some funky spoke card, a Merino sweater and some shorts prehaps?
i've been looking for some 3/4 shorts as my black ones ripped right around the rump. -
• #37
i doubt i have spent 125 quid on clothes in the last 3 years and those of you who know me will know my brown trousers well by now !!

eeehhhh
I hate it when people call me "mate" in shops. I work in a well-known record store and its very casual in there but i never call anyone mate. You can be friendly without saying "mate"...I can't - It's a matter of genetics in Aussies.
But you'll definitely know when I'm being friendly vs. when I'm being a patronising ar$e. :) -
