Is it made in China?

Depends on what you consider to be good value.
I've had my pro team jacket since 2013. I use it on what is essentially every ride between late October and early March and have done since I got it. No reason I won't be using it this time next year.

And repair service!

Yup. Bought mine in 2012. When I give it a wash it still looks like new and it's my go-to for about that period of time too. Pricey at the time but it's definitely working out as good value.

Ditto. Had mine for two years and completely caned it since. Apart from requiring a reproofing it remains the best kit purchase I've made

I'm sure DHB/Endura etc. users will have similar exsiting stories of kit lasting.
My PTJ didnt really outlast other jackets I've used, and didnt really offer extra protection from the elements. But it did fit a little nicer, look a little nicer, and generally feel a little bit nicer. Lots of little bits of nicer, for a Whole load more pricey. But thats how diminshing returns work. Probably best not to try and apply too much Logic to the Nice Things we treat ourselves to.

Good point.
I really should send in my race cape. I'm mad lazy though. -

Na, my DHB kit from the same era has all gone out of shape or fallen apart in the wash.
-
• #24511
Of course it is.
Full RRP was £275 according to the label BTW.

Anyone have a rough idea how long it takes to get a payment refunded ?
-
• #24513
If you are talking about returns its over a week from when they receive it at the moment in my experience

• #24514

Still way faster than Vulpine.

My Pearl Isumi wind jacket / gillet is still in good nick...
... although I stopped using it because I've got a fixeh bomber jacket to commute and a wind jacket for serious leasure riding ;)
I think a lot of the shock in the Guardian advert was because of the jokes cost of the Shadow kit.
Plus people also often don't compare like for like - "I got x, y, z on sale/discount for the same price as a Rapha flannel at RRP".

DHB was good, went a bit pap, but is now good again (especially for the price).

Only DHB jersey i ever owned made you stink like a tramp before you even left the house. Csb

Commuting now since 2 weeks with just a tshirt + hardshell and this is such a nice jacket... Was not sure wether the soft or hardshell is the right one but till now i am very happy with it. If it is getting to warm a longs sleeve + Wind jacket and so i will get through the Winter.

I've had a couple of pairs of DHB bibs and my cods never once smelt like a stable.

Huh?
-
• #24525
Yeah, Rapha good, MAAP shit
Meh.
Rapha isn't good value. Neither is using a flash carbon bike for training. They are nice though.
Pricey.
But nice.
