It looks like she's wearing the upholstery from a bus seat.

That looks like the first winter hat I've seen that's actually designed well.

There were loads of complaints on last years model about it having a seam right on the forehead and causing an impression lasting 'hours'. People apparently posted hourly updates and other people said they suffered from headaches and migraines... (Probably cos they were dehydrated and nothing to do with the hat) but I'm gonna wait to see if the design changed since last year... Ha

Ha, I didn't even know that. Every other winter hat I've seen/owned, including the previous Rapha ones have the ear flat too far back and coming down in a curve with the lowest point on the back of the neck. This means you can either have you ears covered or have the peak down the stop rain, not both at once, and if you look up too much then it gets pushed off your head slightly.

Yeah, I know your troubles. I tried the pro team on last year and it's super tight on the ears of you have a big head... Will recommend trying it on first. I ended up buying the merino hat instead and that served me brilliantly. It looks a little naff under a helmet with the lack of a peak but it covered the ears reasonably well and is super comfortable. Wore it hiking as well...

can't abide having ears covered by a hat, muffles the sound too much, worse than earphones (which i don't mind too much)
If it's cold enough that my ears really get too cold I prefer using a thin snood.

^ things you hate about winter riding that are totally forgotten by September. Thanks ;-)

AW15 is all about the balaklava.

I used this last year. Full merino, which was more than Rapha were offering at the time.

All you really need is a load of buffs.
That said i did buy a quality cycling balaclava in the spring sales for snow biking. Covers tops of shoulders to about temple height with fleece backed Windstopper, yet has a thin lycra top so you can layer. Looks like the world's worse Knights armor together with a wool mesh Base Layer.
Winter is such a pain in the arse.

The worst thing Rapha have ever done is change their caps.
The sized caps were great but the new ones don't fit and the shape is awful.
