i think that prada sport crosses into rapha turf or at least it did when they first brought out their moulded sole shoes with the little red stripe on the heel - that could easily have come off the rapha drawing board. if prada was to redo the rapha fixed short all they would need do is put a red label on it and increase the price.
sorry if i missed something.

See where you are coming from and yes it would have similarities. I don't count Prada sport as Prada though :-)
May as well have called it Prada jeans in the same way other design houses do. -

If I see someone wearing Prada jeans I make an instant and irresistible judgement of them. It's not a positive one, either.

for many years prada resisted the temptation to make jeans

I've got a Barbour waxed cotton flat cap, bought to keep my noggin dry but when I wear it, I sweat like Gary Glitter in a bungle outfit on a bouncy castle at a My Little Pony convention. I have concerns about the breath-ability of such a cap unless it was the absolute dead of winter.

Any other ideas for a winter riding jacket? -

Literally a minute after reading this, I worked it into a conversation about sweating, in the office. Repped for allowing me to use such a great sweat quote :)

'Winter riding jacket' might not be the best description for the fixed/bomber as it's not a pure technical garment. It's a nice looking jacket that happens to be more than adequate for riding in. I thought a lot about the kind of riding I'd be doing and thought it'd suit me well. If you want something really functional you'd be better off with their softshell (or equivalent) and layers, I would suggest.

I have been bustin' my Rapha softshell this past week now that the temperature has started to drop and the sky has started bruising more frequently. The off-centre zip is truly a delight: I often linger a moment or two in front of the mirror before leaving the house and imagine myself as a character from Battlestar Galactica. All in all a delightful garment, even though the credit card bill that followed its purchase was somewhat painful.

The Bomber jacket look top, frankly the price isn't so bad when you considerated the cost of those high street expensive clothing brand, least I know that the Rapha Bomber jacket are defintely comfortable to ride in as well.

Don't even need to go to the expensive brands. I accidentally went into French Connection and saw a winter Reefer jacket for £170 and I would put money on it being inferior in quality to the Rapha jacket.

assos is for weird swiss-german types that clean their chains with toothbrushes after every ride.

I've just managed to badger my missus into getting the family to get me rapha gift vouchers for chrimbo. hopefully will get enough to get the bomber jacket, it looks totally schweet. And I'm in desperate need of a waterproof/breathable/comfortable/warm jacket for those long winter rides. I'll just have to suffer until then I guess! :)

best sweat metaphor in a long time!
+1 ON wax jacket though they are super warm and defiantly not breathable, but they are tough.

It's lighter than last years fixed jacket and the cit has been changed a little
